A few very important things to know about this place. Minus one star for having so few machines…read more 1) Yelp has the wrong location. It's actually closer to the bend looking out over the street rail (best view from a laundromat ever!). See my photo. 2) It's 6 Euros each to wash and dry, and that's in the smaller machines. The bigger one is 10 Euros each. But the detergent is only 1 Euro, so there's that. 3) There are exactly 2 small and 1 large washers and dryers each. Each machine takes about 35 minutes, so it doesn't take much to fill this place. 4) They're also a full-service cleaner, so you can just drop off and pick up later, e.g., if the machines are full and lots of people are waiting. 5) It's next to an amazing La Galli Sky bar in the equally-amazing Hotel Villa Franco with awesome views, but the prices are very high, so you'll spend way more than whatever money you saved by doing laundry yourself ;). 6) The staff are friendly and helpful, so just ask if you need help!

We didn't realize that it would be so hard to find self-service laundromats in Italy, and our fancy hotel charged WAY too much money for laundry. SO I brought two big sacks of laundry, and Liliana did them by the next morning, as promised. She and her son don't speak much English, but you can probably manage to communicate, for example, by pointing to the washing-machine, rather than to the dry-cleaning items.

This store is located just inside the entrance to the main building at the Port of Naples (Porto di…read moreNapoli) - the Stazione Marittima di Napoli. To say this place is just a high-end clothing store would be complete mischaracterization. The owner, Marco, showed us around his little store. He shared intimate details on each of the menswear lines and accessories from beautiful dress shirts, to delicious-feeling sports jackets and coats, and so much more. My two absolute favorites were his lines of ties made from beautiful Italian silk and his creatively designed dual-use silk pocket squares. The ties were unique in that on the backside of them, towards the bottom, he designed sets of 6, 8, 10, and 12 intricate 'folds' for added allure. The most beautiful and unique was of course his 12-fold ties. You've got to see them... they are amazing when you first lay eyes on them. The dual-use pocket squares are pretty genius as well. They are sheets of Italian silk sewed into shapes of pockets and they fit nicely into your sport coat or suit jacket. When you pull it out of the pocket it can also be used to store your glasses. What can I say... except that I LOVE this men's clothing boutique. Its location - in a port building - was a little surprising. I had never thought of a port building being a great spot. Though after giving it some thought, he gets foot traffic from cruise ships weekly, if not daily, with passengers who are usually in a mood to spend money. If you find yourself self-debarking from a cruise in Naples, Italy, please do yourself (or your husband) a favor and check out Marco's store. It's called Real Luxury. He sells exactly that.
