I entered Lou Scalia's Awards looking to upgrade a memorial picture for Trooper Donald Jennings who was killed in the Line of Duty in 1995. I met Rob at the front desk who immediately offered to help me. Rob was great! He guided me in what to do and showed me some options to make the memorial picture into a memorial frame with an inscription. The finished frame looked incredible and brought honor to the memorial of Trooper Jennings. It is now on the wall at the police station and everyone that walks by it, comments on how nice it looks. Great customer service ! I came here after doing a Yelp search, looking for a trophy for our Fantasy Football League. I stopped by and was given several options to choose from. Based on my budget I picked out the perfect trophy which they were able to customize with our league name, winning team name and the year. After purchasing an engravable name plate online for my stethoscope, I started calling around to local chain retailers inquiring about their engraving services. None of them could do on-site engraving. I recalled seeing Lou Scalia's Awards on my drive to school and gave them a call. I was greeted by a friendly, knowledgeable employee (Jules) that was familiar with my request and confirmed they offer engraving on-site with quick turnaround! I ran over after class and was out in 15 minutes. Quick and painless... unlike nursing school! Thank you John for cranking this out so quickly! I hate this place and I will never go back. I went in there to get some advice on a new bowling ball that I was thinking of purchasing. The guy I talked with ( I believe his name is Rob) was very rude and needs to work on his people skills. There were two women that came in after I did and he helped them before me even though he and I had already begun our discussion. He tells me to wait a few minutes while he helps these women. What the heck? After like ten minutes of waiting, I was very close to walking out but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and the second woman finally finished up with her purchases and her infinite amount of questions. He then proceeds to tell me that my average (after asking what it is) is not really that good and I shouldn't be worried about things such as the inserts, lane conditions, what ball to get, etc. He tries to hard sell me on his lessons which are ridiculously expensive and I never even mentioned that I was interested in hearing about his overpriced lessons. He also tried to get me to purchase a ball that wasn't what I was looking for and thought that his price on the ball was so great. However, when I googled it on my phone, it was a good $40 cheaper online. This woman comes out from the back and proceeds to hand him the phone while he is still trying to get me to buy into his lessons and is telling me about how he will by flying to some island for a tournament in a few days. He actually takes the phone call and tells me to wait again. Are you kidding me? Well, fool me once... shame on me. Fool me twice... shame on you. I walked out of that place absolutely disgusted with the customer service and I will proceed to tell all the people that I know that bowl to never give that place their business. BTW, I then went to another pro shop and I explained my situation and told them about what had just happened without naming any names, location, etc. The woman knew immediately what place I was referring to so it's not just me. This place has a bad reputation and they aren't doing a whole lot to fix it. If you are in the market for bowling balls, bags, accessories, etc., please don't go here. There are so many other pro shops out there that will be glad to help you even it you aren't ready to buy that day. Maybe if enough people start boycotting this place, they will realize it and shape up or ship out! read more

My co workers and I were looking for a really nice gift to give our supervisor for Christmas and someone on our team suggested Lou Scalia's award. So I gave them a call, at first they quoted me $120 for everything but because I work for Comcast they gave me a great deal of $84 with everything that I was looking for including tax and then I also wanted a Comcast logo added on and as a added bonus they threw it in for free! Rob was such a pleasure to deal with. He always kept in contact with me making sure I got just what I wanted. I placed my order on Tuesday and it was ready by Wednesday, even though I didn't need it till Thursday afternoon. That was the fastest service I ever received and I really appreciated that. They live by their brand and are a delight to deal with. I will definitely do business here again. Comcast has been doing business with them for years and now I see why. Dec 2012 Me and My Dad went Lou Scalia's to get some advice on our equipment and possibly get a new Bowling Ball. Rob Comito was very helpful taking his time telling us about different equipment. He listened and evaluated our current Bowling equipment was and said it was somewhat out dated over 10 years as well as uncontrollable hook for our slow ball speed, We asked him what we be a good ball and He picked out a Brunswick Slingshot for me and my Dad . Let me tell you ever since we got this new bowling ball we have been bowling great I had my first 700 series a 711 in 3 years . My Dad has been also been bowling 600 series consistently. Our other league bowlers all know about our new Brunswick Slingshot as we cant stop raving about how well this ball works for both me and my Dad. He also refitted all mine and my Dad's bowling balls they all now have the same grip . This place is the Best we wont go to any other pro shop. read more
