The park is dedicated and named after former Louisville Mayor David L. Armstrong, who was instrumental in its construction. They have ramps, tunnels, boxes, lines, ledges, rails, stairs and of course half pipes and bowls. This park is not only a skate park and bike park, but has been adopted by graffiti artist. There is some real nice art work here. The place is covered in it. The half pipe is about 24 feet high, in addition to 2 11-foot bowls, 2 8-foot bowls, 2 4-foot bowls and a six foot bowl. There is a lot of free street parking available to park and visit the park. I really liked this park. Everyone there was nice and working on their craft. This is one of the better options for skateboarders, skaters and bikers to do what they do, but in a controlled environment. There is an emergency phone on site and you are almost certain to not be alone there. The city did a greta job putting this project together.

Your first stop, when visiting the Falls of the Ohio State Park, should be the Interpretive Center,…read morewhich is basically like a mini museum full of exhibits and information about the area, past and present. The Interpretive Center is great for kids, because there are a lot of hands-on activities. Theres an admission fee to enter the Interpretive Center, but it doesn't cost anything to park and walk around the outdoor area of the Falls of the Ohio State Park. Walk on the fossilized rocks, peer out onto the Ohio River and over to Louisville, and enjoy being by the water. Just don't collect any rocks or fossils -- there are signs saying to leave everything where you found it. I do think it's worth it to go into the Interpretive Center, though. There's an interesting piece of artwork on one of the walls of some of the trash that was collected along the Ohio River. It's arranged nicely and looks beautiful, but it's a testament to all of the garbage that people mindlessly leave around that end up in our waterways. This was a quick stop on our visit to southern Indiana, but I definitely think it was well worth it. If you're in the area, this is definitely a place to visit.

I walked along the Greenway yesterday from the amphitheater by New Albany. There were so many…read morefamilies and individuals out enjoying the path and the skatepark. While the bathrooms were closed, they had portapotties in decent condition at the amphitheater and at the boat ramp. The path was clean and well-maintained with garbage cans and benches along it. Added in one picture from the path in the summertime last year- just a few more weeks and there will be a lot more color again.

The Ohio River Greenway connects Jeffersonville, Clarksville and New Albany in southern Indiana. I…read moreonly got to see a small sliver of trail that goes through Clarksville, around Ashland Park, but the whole trail is 7.5 miles long. My impression is: Whatta trail! I'm a big fan of a good multi-use pathway. You can walk, run, jog, stroll, bike or picnic along the Ohio River Greenway. You'll also find public restrooms, plus shops and restaurants all along the way. You'll be treated to views of the Ohio River as you go, as the trail follows the river. What a great resource for this part of southern Indiana. I hope to see more of the Ohio River Greenway the next time I visit.

It was our first time there. Parking was really easy. Accessing the dog park was easy. I really appreciated a two-gate system to get into the big dog part of the park. There were about 5 dogs there. A couple of people with their dogs tried to get in but soon realized you have to be a member & have a key fob to swipe in. I thought it was reassuring to hear other members saying they couldn't let others in due to the safety & liability concerns it could cause for our dogs. The second time we went was around 4:00pm on a Tuesday. There were about 10 dogs. I'm not sure who has more fun. Me, watching Feller run & play with the other dogs. Or Feller, who actually runs & plays. Memberships are only $15.00/year. It's the best $15.00 I've ever spent!

Majority of leagues take place during the fall/winter seasons. They also do training camps for youths pretty much year round. Snack bar has a few snacks available for purchase, with burgers and nachos being the main type fare. The beer selection is primarily domestic, so if you're looking for craft or imported beers this is not your place. Bleachers and floor are all new for 2018, and they look/feel fantastic! New bleachers are 'closed' type bleachers, so drinks, balls, etc do not fall between the levels making it difficult to recover. There are three main courts up front (primary courts for leagues/KIVA camps) with two in the back (that also include drop down basketball courts, though I've never seen them used and I've been playing there for almost ten years). The group that owns/runs this place are phenomenal. Anyone that has played in the Louisville area knows the Kordes name, and they do a solid job running this facility overall. For indoor volleyball in the area, there is no better place to go.
