I came to Puigcerda to find a nice place for tapas for the kids myself and my wife. This place was…read moresplendid. We sat at one of the tables in the plaza, which allowed the kids to run arround between servings. We had patatas bravas, chorizo, pan con tomate, olives with anchovies and my kids had an enormous hamburger topped with chèvre. The meal was truly excellent. The chorizo was simmered in a wine sauce which we subsequently used as a dip for bread.... beautiful. After this feast we had squid with risotto in an ink sauce. Just to add I have been visiting PRADES regularly for the last 8 years and I shall never eat in this place again. If you look at the very long menu you can be sure that the vast majority of what they serve is either frozen or vacuum packed. On the other hand fantastic location in the main square and ok for a beer as long as you check your change.
