The curriculum is academically rigorous and also focuses on nurturing a culture of curiosity and thinking; inspiring a love of learning; modeling kindness, empathy and good global citizenship; and teaching emotional recognition, regulation and problem solving. My daughter loves her teachers and classmates and looks forward to going to school every day! Our principal, Andrea Sleet, is as warm and compassionate as she is devoted to her students' learning, safety and emotional wellbeing. She is deeply engaged with students, teachers, staff and families by greeting students as they arrive each day, regularly visiting classrooms, hosting principal coffee meetings and a book club with parents, and attending all PTA meetings and school events. She is a celebrity on campus and the students adore her. The community at Del Mar Hills is friendly and inclusive and the PTA sponsors many events throughout the year to provide opportunities for students and their families to gather (e.g. an ice cream social, Halloween Spooktacular, world festival, and the family carnival). Fourth through sixth grade students are deeply involved in these events and are encouraged to create and oversee games, as well as to construct and guide students through an impressive haunted house at our Halloween Spooktacular. My preschool-age child also receives special education services through Del Mar Hills and has made tremendous progress in her speech production and articulation. We feel so supported by the teachers, staff and families at Del Mar Hills Elementary and are so fortunate to be a part of the SurfRider community.

Update: Our son has continued to attend a full time school program at The Therapeutic Learning…read moreCenter for over two years. We are very very grateful for the attention and care in education that our young man has received with TLC. The teaching staff have a tailored plan to our son's academic needs daily and weekly in addition to keeping him on par with his grade level. Gratefully he has grown to love school again thanks to the teaching staff and he has even grown to have more patience with writing. Hands down, The Therapeutic Learning Center is one of the greatest assets to educational support in San Diego County. We are extremely grateful to have them teach and work with our son.

Hello everyone. I'm from Ukraine…read more I flew to the USA recently with my little daughter. My daughter is in trouble -with writing -with speech - communicating with other people - self-doubt In a word, diflexion. I used to be embarrassed to talk about it publicly, but now I have accepted it. The war in my country changed my daughter again, she closed herself and stopped talking. We left the cities where there were hostilities. I have been looking for a Therapeutic Clinical Center for a long time to help my daughter feel healthy again. And on our way luck happened, I met MARIA. She and her center helped us a lot. My daughter and I are very grateful for the fact that Maria is engaged individually with us. The atmosphere in the Therapeutic Clinical Center is pleasant, everyone is very friendly, educated and professional in their field. I recommend this cent.

We used E3 for over two years…read more My three children span elementary, middle, and high school. Although they had the aptitude to support elementary aged children, they have not demonstrated the same success as the children advanced. As they expanded to two locations the personal service and attention has dropped significantly. As a parent we are careful when changing tutors and therapists until we are certain it is in the child's best interest. So we stayed through E3's growing pains. A mistake which has demonstrated itself in scholastic achievement. The charge a premium for there services and their is no support for their staff. When a problem arises the burden is left to the tutor to solve. The staff turn over occurs at the end of summer and you start with a new tutor each year. For middle and high school your money and time would be better spent with subject matter specialists. Education is important, be sure to set and reinforce your expectations regularly or all you will receive is a hand written note with sentence fragments tracking progress. Best of luck

After talking with Becky about my daughter a little bit, she assured me she had the right person, she thought, would be the perfect fit for my 14 year old. She was absolutely right! First Alyse helped my daughter (she would drive to school and tutor her there which was fantastic), and now Tonya tutors my daughter at the Encinitas office. We love Tonya too... She's smart as a whip and my daughter really relates to her as a person and as a tutor. My daughters grades have improved 100% and she is no longer anxious about math. I'm so pleased with E3 and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs that little extra help! Carol W
