From heartwarming quotes, to funny anecdotes on a whiteboard, to dim-lit exam rooms to ease anxiety and light meditation music to soothe nerves, to painless blood tests and fun and sweet band-aids, attention to detail is *chef's kiss* It's like being nervous for a high-school exam but once you arrive, you know you have support and you can leave feeling like you aced it. I can't say enough how warm and inviting and knowledgeable each person is that works there. Meeting the doctor and nurse and receiving a warm greeting and hug was the cherry on top. It's not clinical or cold (in comparison to the Farmington location - yikes). Farmington feels icy and stark, plus - disorganized and like we are cattle with a number. As such he does not accept health insurance and his office visits can be rather expensive when one has to pay out of pocket for the entire visit. He does spend a good amount of time listening to his clients, as compared to traditional medical doctors. Since he cannot prescribe medication, he will sell you his own private label vitamins and supplements as well as a "healthy" diet. Because he cannot prescribe FDA approved medicines, my results are mixed using supplements and diet. Overall I feel better, but the specific issue I went to him for remains unresolved. Dr. Kofinas examined me and discovered that I had many more fibroids than I had known about and a significant amount of endometriosis that I had not known about at all. He seemed confident that this was the reason I wasn't getting pregnant and we quickly scheduled my surgery to correct these issues.
