    I've been shopping at this Acme almost every other day for 3 years, and this Saturday night was the…read moremost disappointing experience I've had here. I had been looking forward to mussels all day, but Alex at the seafood counter refused to hand me a pre-measured 2 lb bag while the counter was still open and he was only prepping to close. He had AirPods in, ignored me and my husband and we had to wave our hands just to get his attention. When I asked, he simply said "we're closed." Instead of helping, he rushed to cover the mussels as if we were going to take them. That two-second choice ruined my night when it could have completely changed it for the better. This store has some wonderful employees -- Diane in the pharmacy is always helpful, and the other Alex in assisted checkout goes out of his way to greet customers and have genuine conversations. But overall, the night crew feels careless. Alex in seafood and the self-checkout attendant who wears sweats, AirPods, and doesn't look up from his phone may need some training on customer attentiveness. The trashcan is placed far from the entrance, seemingly so employees don't have to empty it as often, but that makes it inconvenient for customers and leaves it as more of a smoking spot/hangout spot for employees than anything else. Small moments of care matter more than people realize. If Alex at seafood had taken those 2 seconds to help, this would have been a raving review instead of a disappointing one. It would have absolutely made my night! Until issues like this are addressed, I'll be shopping more often at Giant and Wegmans even though this Acme is closest to me.

I have never set foot inside the store yet but I will update this review when I do. The parking lot and exterior of the store looks clean and well-maintained. Food quality is reliable week to week and being a Fresh Pass member saves me an incredible amount of money with some amazing offers. Last fall I got a 3lb bag of sugar for 79 cents!

The cashier rung up the gentlemen's order but could not scan his coupon with the scanning gun. He called for the manager who came over about a minute later and also could not get the gun to work. After about another 2 minutes of trying to figure out why the gun wasn't working, the manager suspended the transaction and took the gentleman to another register to finish his transaction. Meanwhile, my cashier could not use his register without the manager re-opening it. At this point, there are about 8 other customers in line behind me. After finishing the other transaction, the manager spends about 1 minute talking to another employee before coming back to my check out line. Magically, 2 more check out lines open up. With nowhere to go since my items were already on the belt, the other customers flock to the newly opened lines. I have now been standing here quietly for 10 minutes and in that time neither the cashier nor, and most especially, the manager never once acknowledged me or apologized for the inconvenience. Upon her arrival at the check out line, the manager took out the cash drawer and for the first time (and without apology) said anything to me. She informed me that: "You have to go get in another line." Upon telling her that I should not have to go to the back of a line and that she should ring up my order, she responded by saying: "No, you have to go to another line", I told her once again that she should ring up my order and she once again responded: "NO." Needless to say, I left the store without purchasing my 3 items, and I will never be back. I have seen some people that should not be considered "management" in my day but this one was the worst. No acknowledgement, no apology for my inconvenience and just expecting me to pick up my stuff and wait in the back of another line after I had already wasted 10 minutes of my time just because she didn't feel like ringing up my 3 items. PATHETIC!!!
