piss poor ran establishment. Most Sundays only one worker there working the booth and the floor. One person can't do it all.

The Paragon Casino is a nice establishment, and provides great service. I had a work social here,…read morehosted in the casino's ball room. The venue was beautiful. The customer service I received was genuine and friendly (Housekeeping, Security, and the Desk Receptionists). The South Tower Rooms are older, but the restrooms were fairly in better shape. I had co-workers stay in the North Tower, and stated the rooms were refurbished and nicer. I didn't gamble or use the slot machines, but the scenery looked good from what I saw. I'd recommend this location for leisure, work functions, and just a place to visit!

Air conditioning was mounted under windows and verrry noisy. Pillows were small for a king size bed. Wall recepticals loose and plugs falling out. Refrigerator sat on the soft padded bench instead of in cabinet where it belongs, that's a fire hazard. Bathroom was a complete catastrophe, the shower had no light in it and had to shower by a light recessed in ceiling 5 feet away. Soap dispenser in shower didn't work probably empty! Had to shower with shampoo. Water temp was barely warm enough to shower. We ate at Roxy's diner in casino and the food was horrible. Wife was complaining of stomach issues. Fried fish was super salty and muddy tasting. Onion rings were under cooked and was just a mess of under cooked batter. Casino was like a ghost town and machines not paying at all. Overall experience was underwhelming by far. Probably will never return!

For the next event- a band I didn't know and don't remember- I was RIGHT UP FRONT. And the lead singer seemed to take a liking to my friend, so she got special attention. That was fun. For both events the beer was expensive, but not hard to come by. The ticket prices vary by venue but aren't unreasonable. I do recommend this venue if you really want to see 'that band ' .

An outdoor venue that in the past has hosted a…read moremore diverse selection of live, musical entertainment (Ted Nugent, Sebastian Bach, Better Than Ezra...Jamie Lynn Spears!!!), but as of late has skewed more, and maybe more naturally, towards the country music genre. This venue is located on the same compound, and directly adjacent to the BBQ pit, Silver Star Smokehouse & Saloon. It is in the rural realm of Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott's hometown of Haughton, but is still in Bossier City, right off Highway 80 in close proximity also to Harrah's Louisiana Downs horserace track and casino and hotels. The Bossier City Police Department maintains a friendly and welcoming, but heavy presence here during shows. The setup here is amphitheater-style, and actually makes for a quite enjoyable and intimate live music experience. We were situated primarily and relatively in the back of the house, as it were. We could see, and definitely hear the acts just fine. And though, it's the middle of the summer, thankfully, even with all the bodies in attendance, the stage lights, and other various lighting systems overhead, it never got too killin' hot. There are plenty of long beer tubs, iced down and adequately staffed around the area, making it very easy to grab an ice cold tall boy! There is also a two-sided, long bar in a tiny saloon close by, also adequately staffed to mix up your favorite batch of poison. There are beers-a-poppin', drinks being slung, and barbacks running every which way. The place is in motion, and running like a top. This is a solidly-run production. Parking is free, self-service, no valet, and there's plenty of it. There are three clearly-marked parking sections that distinctly go the distance from closest to The Stage, to furthest away. And in that order, they are as follows: Paved asphalt, then Gravel, and then lastly, the lawn (or grass). For Pat Green, last night's phenomenal performance, we parked in the outer reaches of the grass. (Pat Green? Grass?...Green? Grass? Buuuuaaaahahahahaha!!!...C'mon, people!!! Work with me here!!) But even if you park at a distance on the property, the walk is a pleasant and short one to the entrance. Ticket prices are agreeably kind to the ol' wallet, and I would gladly return for another event at this location!

I also wanted to play the roulette game with a spin bonus and wild thing and most likely leave. I do not know why I like playing that game as I never hit anything good on there and getting the bonus. However, I decided this time to try my luck at this casino and see what happens as I saw last time they did have a lot of old school three reel machines that were not volatile. I should try it. The roulette game was out of commission so I played Wild Thing and nothing happened. I then played Triple Double Dollar and even though I did see the machine had a jackpot on there I decided to do the "backup" spins and little did I know I hit my first jackpot there of $2400.00 They do take a long time to get to you that I had to get someone from the cashier cage to come get me. Then, I had to wait another 30 minutes for my handpay to appear. I ended up playing some really old Aristocrat games while I waited and they were a lot of fun as I got a bonus on one and the other a great line hit. I played triple stars with no luck, but double diamond deluxe which gave me $400 dollars. I got my energy drinks with my voucher as the coffee shop is the only one opened. They have an Asian place opening up too which I will try next time. I have not seen a horse race here, but maybe I will go to one, we will see.
