I moved to Wisconsin and needed a school for my then 3 year old. I only had a week to find school for her and Lots for tots had full time openings and with such late notice they took her in, no problem. I was amazed how easy the process went with very little wiggle room time. anyways fast forward a month she was doing great with the school and teachers. There was MULTIPLE INCIDENT REPORTS by the way. Most of them typical toddler accidents BUT there were two incidents that made me raise an eyebrow with this place. First was she got bit by another child (who was younger) the other child was downstairs in the infant room. My daughter was bitten so badly, it broke skin & she STILL till this day has a bite mark scar on her arm! In between that and the second incident I got many more incident reports and phone calls to come and pick her up because "THEY COULDN'T HANDLE HER" mind you she's a toddler, and I'm a single mother with a full time job. Along with it's a school and it's their job to know how to deal with toddlers and tantrums or certain behaviors of a toddler. They didn't care though because they simply were unqualified to deal with a toddler temper tantrum and ran to the phone for me to come get her every chance they got. SECOND INCIDENT was absolutely unacceptable for any "school" to do. My child's class had a field trip one day to the fire station followed by going out to eat afterwards. Well I guess as the class was getting ready for the trip MY child wandered back upstairs to her class room and fell asleep on a little bed they have for nap times. While the teachers, yes more than one. FAILED to do a head count before they left, and left to the trip. LEFT MY DAUGHTER unattended in a room for HOURS before a teacher who was downstairs discovered her. I was pissed!!! but with all circumstances being weighed. My hands were tied and I couldn't take her out of lots for tots because I had no other options for child care. Knowing she was starting pre k in September, I thought I'm just going to stick it out. The director of the school fired the teacher who didn't do head count for the trip and we had a long talk about the incident So I felt a tad bit better about this place. Fast forward another month or so I am continually getting phone calls to leave my job and to pick her up because she's "out of control" she is a toddler I get it but I have never had any problems with prior child care or anyone at that fact saying she's too hard to handle! So 4 out of 5 days I get a phone call to go pick her up. And after that last 4th call I got, the director told me on a Friday two weeks before she starts her new school that is "not working" and the director said I don't know if you have a "plan b" or something but yea I can't continue to put my staff in these situations. HA ! Her "staff" the nice college girls who come and help in the summer then have to say goodbye to these kids who get attached to them because they leave back to school. I Did not come on here to bash this place just simply stating my experiences and FACTS ! Btw my daughter only attended this place for FOUR months! Take what you will from this review! But if you're looking for a safe & DEPENDABLE child care. KEEP LOOKING !!!!! read more
