Came here three times during our stay in Santona. Mostly we took a table inside - it was pretty cold after then sun went down. Our Bulldog was welcome inside the restaurant as well.
Location is at a lively walking street in the middle of Santona. This town has not many international tourists, so it feels very authentic and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Even during Covid-19 the place was almost always pretty full (but they set the tables far apart to ensure the distance due to Corona).
Staff here was always great, very friendly and - as usual in Spain - nobody rushed or pushed to clear the tables.
They have a good selection of fast food items on the menu, but also very nice Tapas to choose from at the counter. Wine by the glass and some really good local beer. Together with the fair prices this restaurant here was a really fun place to dine in.
Some of the Tapa we've had:
- Mushroom and Blue Cheese (nice combo)
- Fried calamari with jamon
- Anchovie with bell peppers
- Morcilla (the great spanish blood sausage)
Then some fried calamari, squid, a fried party platter (wings, drums, wedges, calamari and mozzarella sticks - looked nice, but just ok) and a plate of anchovies with mozzarella and tomatoes.
Good food (especially the Tapa), low prices and a nice, lively atmosphere. We really enjoyed our dinners here. read more
