I'm a big fan of Mexican food, and especially burritos, so I had high hopes of this place when I stumbled over it wandering around Bergen. The concept is a bit like chipotle in the states, where you combine your own burrito or taco. They also had a menu of some combinations. Their primary focus seems to be take-away, but they have a small seating area as well if you would like to eat in.

First, I am a big fan of Tex-Mex, food of the gods, and the burrito I had at Los Tacos was delicious and full of everything a growing boy could ever want. The salsa was actually spicy! That is something a person cannot normally find in this country. I had the chicken burrito, but they offer taco meat, chicken, pulled pork, steak and veggie (for the vegheads). The place may look like a typical fastfood joint, but the food tastes much better!

If you actually thought you would ever have authentic Mexican food in this place you deserve a negative review as a person.

A bad copy of Chipotle. Lines that went on forever, and poorly organized staff. Not a place I will visit again.

Plain, movie theater tortilla chips with the blandest taco meat you can imagine. However guacamole *might* be house-made but I'm not sure.

Mexican food in downtown Bergen? Sure, sounds fun! We were sold on the restaurant after chatting…read morewith the bartender outside about the menu. I will say it was very slow to receive drinks and food. So if you're in a real hurry it might not be a great place for you. Decor is funky and amazing. We were seated next to a window filled with bones. The lighting was cool. It felt like you were in a bar in Mexico. The menu is a mix of various Latin dishes and drinks. I went with a Brazilian drink that was so good that I ordered another. Not sure the alcohol was high but the taste with the juice was so refreshing. My dining partner tried a couple of beers and enjoyed them. For food, I went with the Argentinian steak as they were out of the pork dish I wanted to try. It was so good. Seasoned great, huge with a ton of potatoes and creamy corn to go with it. The other dish was a veggie cheese pie. Hmm, just so so. The veggies were a bit bland and it didn't have much spice level until we pored on the available sauces at the table. Prices were great too - you get a lot of food and there is a lot of choice on the menu. It took awhile for them to give us the check, we finally went up to the bar to pay. As I said, it's a nice relaxing meal and not a fast food place so be prepared to have a bit of a wait and just enjoy your surroundings.

Fantastic spare ribs! It falls right off the bone and not greasy at all. Chilli is also very good.read more

Okidoki is the kind of place I would love to love (ambiance is on point) but I unfortunately I…read moredon't. My main issue is the prices and service. Okidoki have a reputation of being the best Mexican restaurant in Bergen, which is difficult to dispute as the food is excellent. However, since moving location their prices seem to have gone up, and they have moved in the direction of over prized. Their small plates (one item per plate) range from 95 kr (pork taco) to 165 kr halibut tostada. For a full dinner you probably need four+ plates depending on how hungry you are, but if you just want a snack while drinking one or two might be enough. (My party of four ordered three each and we legt the restaurant not full). For 0,33l tap beer (pilsner) you pay 89 kr, and the cheapest white wine by the glass is 155 kr. As the place was quite full when we visited I can understand that service was a bit slow, however 25-30 minutes from sitting down until the food/drink order was taken is unfortunately unacceptable. The place seems understaffed and while they are pleasant enough, it would not hurt to get a few extra people in during the dinner rush with the princes they are charging.
