Quality ingredients, made to order and it's street food. Order here and they'll bring your burger to you inside the bar. Wednesday's only.

They have giant al pastor spinning but most of the meats are already cooked in the metal tins. One potato per order now. The meats were tender with asada being my favorite here. Brisket is also good if you prefer a fattier meat. They have sauce station with different spices. Grilled onions, raw onions, and cilantro to your liking. Another booth sells drinks. I got the horchata and tasted pretty standard. Great place to take someone to try out LA tacos.

I'm picky, but Ave 26 delivers every single time. It's super affordable, open 24/7, and there's always plenty of parking, which is a huge win in LA. Plus, it's honestly one of the best spots in town for people-watching while you eat. Let's talk favorites. My absolute must-order is their al pastor burrito with everything. It comes loaded with tons of smoking hot, perfectly seasoned al pastor meat, melted cheese, and incredible flavor. To top it off, they have a solid lineup of tasty salsas and spicy condiments to customize every bite just how you like it. Whether you're wrapping up a late night out or looking for the perfect spot to celebrate after a Dodgers game, Ave 26 has got you covered. Get out there after the win and grab a burrito -- you'll thank me later.

Underrated and understated kabob stand in East Hollywood without stepping past the 5 Freeway…read more A consolidated menu of different proteins includes seafood for the discerning. The kebabs here are Persian influenced. Shish and Koobideh are delicious and flavorful. The cooking over open coals adds another level that no other place does so beautifully. This single-person operation is truly a must-try because it hearkens back to some abroad experiences. The stand and grill is located in a very small parking lot where you may find a spot or two to park. Otherwise, the only other option is street parking with meters or residential. Seating is strictly street food.

I have never known an Iranian restaurant like this--at once totally authentic (Omar clearly knows what traditional Iranian food is supposed to taste like, (whether it's from the grill, the stewing pot, or scraped off the bottom of the rice pot) but he also takes liberties that always *improve* on the meal (his grilled jalapeños, the way his kebabs have a little more *kick* to them, his phenomenal barley/ash hybrid soup that is probably the most delicious thing I've ever had from his kitchen. Nonetheless, the pastor was still amazing and it's great that they add copious amounts of meat on there. The various toppings and hot sauces are also very delicious, albeit the light orange mayo looking sauce is SPICY and unassuming...beware! Light green avocado looking sauce definitely saved my life. My friend also got a burrito and I heated it up the next day to enjoy and it still tasted awesome. My review might be slightly skewed as Mexican food is depressing up in Canada so any semblance of authentic Mexican food gets me going. I will have to return to LA soon...just for the tacos here.

I do like how they grill their meat though and they use the tortillas to scoop up the meat on the grill. Thought the al pastor was a bit salty and the cheese did not add much flavor to it, but that's probably a good thing considering the saltiness of the meat. Also, make sure you ask them for pineapples since they did not include it until we asked. They do have them sliced up in a container by the meats. Ambience is very casual and it's a stand while eating type of situation. Service was quick.
