This is the best Mexican restaurant in town. They have the friendliest service around as well. And you won't leave there still hungry. It seems like we are there at least once a week.

Rodeos has a homemade habanero sauce the tops every homemade habanero sauce that I have ever eaten in my entire life.

This place really surprised me, on top of having the best lunch fajitas I've had in a long time, they were extremely affordable, a huge plate for under seven dollars. The salsa was pretty good and the tea was sweet, tasty, and cold. Service was good. But hey, let me get to the amazing now. THEY HAVE A HOME MADE HABANERO SAUCE THAT WILL SET YOUR SENSES ABLAZE. Talk about delicious. The best homemade habanero sauce that I have ever had, and I am a connoisseur of homemade habanero sauces. If I ever find myself back in this area I will be sure to eat here again.

This place was very lively. I went in and sat at the bar and immediately the bartender asked if I wanted a beer. He held up a 32 oz mug and said this size? I said, no the small and it was about a 24 oz one. The bar was pretty full and he cut up with all the guests during my visit. I couldn't decide what to get so I told him I liked cheese and I liked seafood so he described a meal with shrimp and I said sure. When it came I was pleasantly surprised. The cheese had a wonderful taste and there were many shrimp and they were perfectly sized, seasoned and shrimptastic. It also came with a large portion of rice and beans. This was a fun place and the staff all have great personalities and food is great.

Having been a faithful patron of the other Mexican Restaurant in town, I was hesitant to try Los Rodeos. However, some folks I know said it was better tasting and better priced, so I decided to give it a try for lunch today. Below is my review for each aspect of the visit. Customer Service: 2 stars We (my husband and I) a little after 2pm, after the lunch hour rush. It took a little while for someone to greet us before we were seated. I brushed this off since we were in during an off-peak time and the server was likely busy doing other work while there weren't many people. We were seated, ordered our food, and was served in about 15 minutes. However, we only received a drink refill as we finished our meals, and the waiter never checked on us again after we got our food. Food Variety: 4 stars I was unable to locate a menu online so I have included pictures, although not great, of the menu I had in front of me. The selection was good, with many typical choices like tacos, burritos, fajitas, etc, with a few specialty dishes thrown in. Food Taste and Appearance: 4 stars Our food arrived hot and fresh. I ordered Pollo Santa Fe which was grilled chicken breasts (thinly sliced) with cheese dip, bacon, rice, and beans and a side of ranchero beans to try. The ranchero beans looked to be pintos with jalapeno peppers, hot dog slices, spices, and maybe some bacon. They were pretty good if that is your sort of thing. The chicken was good, bacon was cooked perfectly despite being curled up, and the refried beans were very flavorful. Rice was typical Mexican style rice with mixed vegetables. This dish also came with 2 flour tortillas. I really don't have any complaints about the food, but it didn't blow me away, thus the 4 stars. Hubby ordered the vegetarian combo with a cheese quesadilla and chili relleno. Honestly, the refried beans taste like they are seasoned with pork fat, so vegetarians beware. Delicious, but not likely vegetarian! Hubby enjoyed his meal and I tasted the chili relleno, which I've never had before, and it was quite good. Also, sweet tea was good and sweet! Reputation: ??? Stars Although recommended by server acquaintances, my coworker was horrified when she learned I ate there and warned me of past health violations, one of which I was able to verify on the newspaper website from about 2 years ago. I did not look at the rating when I went in however, the place looked clean, at least in the dining area. Overall, I give Los Rodeos 3 stars until I can visit again. Maybe I will go during a busier time next time and see if the servers are more customer-focused.

Salsa and chips quickly arrived. The salsa was so flavorful- chunky and not thin and watery like most places. Like it a lot. Server was attentive. I tried the authentic Mexican tacos that come with charro beans and my husband had Jalisco fajitas. The food came out fast and steaming hot. Large potions. Let me tell you that these were the BEST tacos I've had...and we eat a lot of Mexican food all over this state and other states. The charro beans were sooo dang good, I wish the bowl was bigger!! And these came with hamburger instead of the hotdogs chopped that so many places has. The notion bulbs were a nice added touch and delicious!! Husbands loved the fajitas. He said everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My only complaint... is that they do the salsa in one big bowl to share instead of the single bowls and you pour your own salsa from bottle. I hate that so many places have went to doing this and it's always a con for me. We will absolutely be back here when we are in the area!!

This little gem is situated in the quaint, charming Civil War historical town of Perryville, Kentucky. It is literally just a few miles from the nation's most historically authentic, Civil War battlefield. There is on street parking as well as a small parking lot to the left of the entrance. Upon coming in the front door you are greeted by old fashioned, hardwood floors and a simple, yet amply stocked bar. You might even find yourself daydreaming about an old Civil War general sitting at the bar smoking a cigar and drinking a glass of bourbon. We were taken around the bar by the hostess and seated in the main dining room. The dining room is spacious and seating is comfortably situated. We chose a booth. I am a fairly portly individual and while I like the privacy of a booth, my belly is usually squeezed against the table for the duration of the meal. Such was not the case here. The booths are amply spaced for guys my size. Almost immediately, we were greeted by a genuine Latino waitress sporting a gentle smile. She got our drinks and brought us a basket of warm corn chips and salsa. The salsa had a mild bite and an excellent flavor profile. The first thing that genuinely grabbed my attention was the seven page menu on the table before me. Seven, I said that. The menu is rife with genuine and typical Latino entrees. This establishment also has an extensive pizza menu. I decided to try the pizza, while my wife decided to try a fajita entree. I ordered a three topping medium pizza. It arrived with liberal helpings of pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms, all enrobed in ooey gooey melted cheese. It was a good pizza. I suspect it may have been cooked in a wood fired oven. It had a subtle hint of mild smoke flavoring. It may have been the sausage too. My wife ordered a chicken fajita. It arrived sizzling as is customary with such a dish. It was served with the customary plate of beans and rice. We held the sour cream as my wife has a dairy allergy. She is also gluten intolerant and the waitress made sure that her fajita would be served with corn tortillas, not flour ones. The food was delicious. It was flavorful, served hot and pleasing to the palate. We did not order drinks, but while we sat there, margaritas in goblets the size of small goldfish bowls crisscrossed the dining room. They genuinely looked amazing. After finishing our main course, I observed a plate of decadent something cross the dining room. I stopped the waiter carrying it and asked about it. He told me it was churros and offered to get me some. I was already quite full, but looking across the dining room at that creation now perched on the other table, I had to have one myself. Four perfectly cooked churros, still warm, arrived at the table. Ice cream enthroned them with generous helpings of whipped cream. All drizzled with chocolate syrup. I said a quick prayer that today was not my day to contract diabetes and promptly downed that pile of decadent calories. It was delicious. The dining room itself is nicely decorated in geographically authentic decoration. It was not too hot, nor too cold. The dining room is ADA compliant. I did not need a restroom, so I did forget to check them on the way out. My only complaint, and it is a mild one, was how noisy the dining room got at one point. Being an old brick building, there is a bit of a din when everyone gets talking. Other than that, the dining experience was pleasant. The true "shock value" of the evening came when the receipt landed on my table. We enjoyed that entire meal for $38. The price point on their food is amazing! This is 2026. You'll spend more for the gas to get here than you will crowding your digestive track with these epic offerings! I was impressed to say the least. I checked the receipt and it all appeared to be there. We left as the dinner rush wound down. When we left some old codgers had bellied up to the bar and were engaged in conversation. You feel like you could get to know this town talking to them fellas. This establishment gets a five star review from me. The best part is that it is only nine miles from my home in the Kentucky countryside.
