It was a weekday lunch and we wanted to get away from the main square where all the tourists seemed to congregate. We waited until lunch was served around 1pm and got a nice cozy table in the corner where we could see the kitchen. We were the only diners in the restaurant but the bar up front was pretty busy and festive. We guessed locals probably don't spend this much on lunch but rather go for the tapas and drinks instead up front. We started with the warm leek and scallop cream soup and a roasted pepper salad. The cream soup came in a teapot and was poured over a beautifully seasoned and cooked perfectly scallop and shrimp. I managed to get most of the soup with my spoon otherwise I was ready to lick it up even though we were in public. I don't have anything to compare the cochinillo (suckling pig) to but it was on my list of foods I had to try in Spain. The skin was nice and crunchy while the meat was more fatty than I'd normally like. My wife had the partridge and thought it was pretty good. We got to enjoy a nice quiet lunch to ourselves and overall were happy with the food and service.

It took about twenty minutes to order because the waitress was "busy", she took a phone call, went downstairs, and gave some people their checks before even saying hi to us. Once we finally ordered we sat there, and sat there and sat there some more. eventually we got some chips and bread and cheese. Then we continued to sit there. About 30 minutes had passed and my dad was starting to get angry. He asked the waiter where our salad was and the waiter looked so puzzled, "what salad?" she asked in response. He said "caesar salad" and the woman was very confused, he said it again, "caesar salad" he then pointed at the menu. "Oh, Sesar salad" the women responded. My dad was like "you say tomato I say tomatoe, but we are starving." Our salad arrived like 8 minutes later, it was fine not special but at-least we weren't starving to death. We got this tapas dish and we were scared because we thought it was what my dad had order for his meal. The tapas were good and we later found out they were because I guess they felt bad. It is has been about an hour since we arrived now and haven't gotten our steaks. We got our steaks at 10:15 and we walked in the door at 9:20. They steaks were cooked as order and tasted fine but we weren't hungry anymore. We finished eating and got our check. The Tapas were free and that was nice but the experience as a whole was kinda crappy. The woman had the Audacity to argue with us about how long it took. Really. The server was nice and took our order fast. We ordered the garlic shrimp and the grilled chicken salad. The garlic shrimp was such a small portion of the small shrimp that you can buy a bunch in a bag at the grocery store for $10 but here you get a few for $20 and that's literally all you get. The salad wasn't fresh and had a few pieces of chicken. We paid $37 for very little food that just tasted ok. So not worth the money.
