Was craving ceviche so I ended up getting that. Honestly the portion and how it looks is amazing! Super unfortunate that the dish left a very bitter aftertaste after every bite (probably from the rind in whatever citrus was used in the marinade). For the price and where it is located in New Port, a dish like this should be dialed. I was unfortunately left very disappointed. EDIT: This was initially a 2 star review.... They also have a self serve bar of salsas etc. Was highly disappointed in my burrito which I immediately unwrapped and ate. It felt cold, the tortilla was hard and cold. I really like their tripa tacos here they are crispy intestines! And I love their grilled jalapeños and grilled onions that they let you have on the side self serve. A lot of great sides. I've always had the best experience at Los Primos! The quality of food is amazing. I usually get carnitas tacos and they are always so delicious. The amount of meat you get in your food is very generous as well. I love the self service salsa area. Sometimes they even have caramelized onions and peppers which are beyond delicious. The workers are always so kind and attentive! I'm never waiting longer than 5 minutes for my food even when it's busy. I usually take my order to go but there are usually a few tables inside and some more outside in the shopping center area. read more

I have been eating at Los Primos since it opened back in the early 1990's. Nothing has changed other than inflation. With that being said, you still get one of the biggest, most flavorful and authentic Mexican fast service meals around. Los Primos has quickly found a special place in my kid's hearts as well. Their go to's are usually the beans, rice and cheese burrito or the Burrito Especial. Both are huge and can provide two meals when you cut the burrito in 1/2. I usually go with the Moot Special or the California burrito. Adding some French fries to these add an additional punch. The salsa bar has many options from mild to extraordinarily hot. Other fun touches in the salsa bar are cucumbers, limes, carrots/onions, and raw/cooked jalapeños. These guys know how to move a line and make your food extremely fast with much wait. Their burritos are filled to the brim and will definitely fill you up for lunch or dinner! I got their El special burrito with birria for the meat and got refried beans, cheese, cilantro & onions and rice! The burrito was wrapped well and was pretty hefty when I got it! The birria had great flavor from being cooked in their marinade and worked well with the other toppings! Next time I come back, I'll probably swap out the refried beans for black beans to be on the healthier side! They also have free salsa you can grab on the side ranging from mild(green/Verde) all the way to a dark red salsa if you want some intense heat! There's also free radishes, limes, and carrots to grab as well! Parking is easy to find though it gets filled pretty fast on the weekend and late at night due to the other restaurants next door like Nguyen's Kitchen, Sushi District, and Poki Tiki! And we had Burrito Especial we selected Carne Asada / Steak, Black Beans, Pico de Gallo, Guacamole, Cheese, Cilantro & Onion, Rice, size of this burrito as you can see on the picture was very big comparing with burritos we had ordered in other places. I don't know whether to pick a soup and tostada situation or an assembly of tacos with my favorite carne (meat). In the end, I went with my typical carne(meat) choices that determine how much I like a taqueria. Buche (pork stomach), Cabeza (beef cheeks), Tripas (small intestines), and Lengua (beef tongue). These are known as offal or animal innards/organ meats and are very nutritious once you get past your picky tastebuds on the gamey flavor. The tacos de tripas here are my favoriteee! And staff say they're open for "to go" orders only... What should you do? It sounds like one of those trick questions on the SAT but really, there's only one answer: Walk back out that door empty handed. One of my sons has taken a liking to Los Primos' Carnitas Torta. I sampled a bite and understand the appeal. It tastes like a future heart-attack. When you're 25, fine, but this has no place in my life. It tasted both good and incredibly fatty which isn't a bad thing. I wouldn't order it, but I understood the appeal. The remainder of our to go order was 4 carne asada tacos (enormous, but the meat quality was very meh; much gristle was spit into a napkin), and a huge, sloppily wrapped California Burrito with cold protein (pollo). Did I mention that the staff here is nice? They are, but what would've been nicer was if they'd said, honestly, "I'm sorry, but we closed a bit early. Please come back and see us another day". I'm uncertain that I had the optimal Los Primas experience but I learned enough to know that a return visit is highly unlikely. Not since my experience at NYC's Halal Guys have I consumed something that left me so sure I'd clogged an artery. Big portions and pretty cheap, but the quality can be hit or miss. I typically only get their Gringo breakfast burrito, sometimes I request no bacon, and should've done that for this visit. The gringo is eggs, bacon, and fries. I added pinto beans for extra with salsa, cilantro and onion (you have the option of cheese too). So in my opinion the burrito would taste better if there weren't huge chunks of bacon filled with mostly fat. This is another small, family-owned, hole in the wall. They've been around for a long time and even though their parking lot is somewhat like a cramped zoo, people will hunt down a spot to get to come of the eateries in this small center. Their burritos are gigantic and I've never been able to finish one myself. In fact, my husband and I usually split one. We also love their chicken soft tacos, as their shredded chicken is marinated in a thin red salsa sauce. What takes every meal to the next level is their salsa bar, as seen in the photos. From a mild red and green tomatillo, to a spicy red that will burn your entire mouth to the point of tears.... Service has improved somewhat ever since they restaffed the cashiers. It used to be that when ordering for pick-up; they'd hang up on you if you asked for anything special, such as substitutes. Also, the owner/owner's son(?) often appears to be mad all the time, but once you get to know him you'll find he's a nice and even funny guy! Lol Up until just recently, they didn't delivery in any way, shape or form, but there's something to be said about old school.... The good news is, they now make themselves available to ONE delivery app!!! Woooo-hoooo!!!! They get really busy, prepare to wait and take it to go, very limited seating. $3.25 per taco is steep, they do give you a ton of meat, but the chicken and birria were so bad, I actually threw the meat away. They have a fantastic salsa bar, huge selection and were very friendly, but I just really hated the food.
