I loved my experience at Los Ponchos. There was a group of ten of us that visited on a Wednesday. The waitress handled us with ease and attentiveness. All staff interactions was wonderful. We started with complimentary salsa and bean dip, which i couldn't stop eating. The food was great!! Their was no compliant from anyone regarding their entrees. I stopped in here with my boyfriend for a late supper on a Saturday. We were seated right away. For my Main, I ordered the Papas Locas from the Appetizer menu and asked for the pico to be subbed with just plain diced tomatoes. -Papas Locas: This was my second time to order this. Both times it was good, but it was better this time because the diced tomatoes were less watery and soggy than the pico was last time. I would definitely order this again. I ordered Quesa Birra for lunch during my work training. It was so good I had to make a review. This restaurant is not far from my job but I have only just started grabbing lunch here this past month. I don't know why I have not tried them sooner. The Quesa Birra was so good. Each taco was flavorful, cheesy, crispy and full! The dips that came with it were what really made me happy. The green one is so spicy and I loved it! The salsa one was like a sweet tasting salsa that was also very good. The Birra dipping sauce was excellent! I plan on making this my go to lunch spot so every time I try something new I'll post a photo here. read more

As a native texan that works in midland and Laredo the Mexican food here is some of the best I've had in a while. Did not expect that from Louisiana. The atmosphere was awesome too. Pitiful.... We waiting for a long time and NOONE came to take our order. It was lunch time, but there were only 2 other couples in the entire dining room. A waitress walked by a few times and ignored us. I finally stopped her to ask if we had a waiter/waitress. She immediately walked away. Most pathetic BURNT MEAT "tacos" I've ever wasted money on. Also listed it would come with rice and beans but with how this taste I'm glad they didn't waste the food on my plate. Putrid. I've been here 3 times so far. Each time has been great. The salsa is good and so is the black bean dip they serve as well for your chips. A nice change to the chips and salsa you normally get. The staff is super friendly. The margaritas are on point. Let's just say I left feeling pretty good. I had them both frozen and on rocks. I've had the quesadillas one time and the enchiladas verdes another time. Both were great and will have them again.
