Cute place with the flakiest pastries around! Quick service and a clean place to boot! Must try.read more

I spent a month in Guadalajara in May of 2021. My AirBNB was about 10 blocks away. I literally…read morestalked this restaurant daily after I discovered it. Get the pastries. They are reasonably priced, fresh, delicious and taste authentic. I picked up a 12 pack of croissants and chocolate scones on my first trip. I ordered the Oh La La Salad and was blown away with how fresh and nutritious it is. The fresh berries and slivered almonds go so well together. I downloaded the Rappi app just so I could order from here. I would either walk down daily for the salad or have it delivered to my apartment. The delivered price was much higher by the way. Take a wall and get some exercise and go pick it up. They have decent tasting lattes and my husband raved about his breakfast omelet. I didn't taste it because I'm a Vegan and I don't eat eggs. I had the Chilaquiles a few times and they were decent. I thought the portion of beans could have been larger and the sauce a little less salty. It was one of the few vegan breakfast items even though the beans probably have animal fat and the sauce might even contain a meat based broth. I don't know because my Spanish isn't good enough to ask. I'm not the kind of vegan that goes crazy due to every ingredient. I understand that if I'm not at a vegan specific restaurant then I have to go with the flow and do what I can without being a pain in the butt.

Yes! I'm the 27th person to write a little "something something" about this Costco, that happens to…read morebe located in a metropolitan area of the city of Guadalajara that has more than 5.8 MILLION people. "Tu habla espanol? muy poco/ poquito" "Perdon, Ingles will have to suffice!" Haha I initially was not going to write anything, because the nature of my visit to this Costco was something I wanted to keep a secret, but then I realized I still can. And merely just talk about the highlights and why I think this Costco gets 5 stars from little Ole muah/ me! :) 1. I've been a Costco nut as far as I can remember. When I was in HS, I worked for Price Club (I think Sam's Club bought them out?) Idk, but it felt and looked like a Costco. Actually, nevermind, good ole chat GPT just confirmed, Costco did indeed bought Price club out! Sam's club tried, but did not succeed. Holy buckets, I learned something new today. Right on! Oh man, here I go, digressing at its finest right here! Lol 2. The employees here at this particular Costco were/are awesome, Awesome, with a capital "A" Awesome, you know?! Partly because, I whispered to my friend who is a local "Guadalajarian" "Hey, is Costco in Guadalajara considered a very good job? They said definitely Yes! Great benefits and great hourly pay! Plus, I imagine you get a discount on Costco goods, which products are already discounted. So the quality of employees seemed better, well, so it seemed like. They seemed happier at least :). 3. The line que in the end. I personally liked that very much. We had 4 full carts of goods so being directed by a super helpful employee directing us was a good thing. She was so nice too. The ambiance was that of a Costco. I live in California so honestly, it felt and looked EXACTLY the same, if you know what I mean! :). Granted everything was in Espanol! Which I loved! Well, because I freaking love Mexico, hence being in Mexico! I also loved the one in Tijuana, BTW! Thank you Costco in Guadalajara! Thank you for existing, you made a lot of people super happy, including myself. My 1 and only regret, was, I did not take advantage of eating at your food court. Man, that was a foolish mistake on my part. I now have no way to compare the difference and I cannot make any comparison to how the food differs or if it is the same. My guess, probably similar. So, for all the Yelp! Foreigners/ Westerners/ Gringos y Gringas living or traveling in Guadalajara- go frequent this Costco it is muy Bueno, muy Rico, muy excelente! Grqcias, por todo, Costco en Guadalajara!

Think twice before going to this Costco!…read more Parking is a mad house. It takes 10-15 minutes to locate a parking spot. The store is so crowded it takes about 45 minutes to check out. The checkout lines literally encompass the whole store. One line ran to the back of the store and back around the side nearly to the front. We decided to not purchase anything because of the lines. Get your parking validated, otherwise there's a 30 peso charge. Since we decided to leave Costco instead of waiting nearly an hour to check out, we had to pay 30 pesos.
