This is a historic site and it should be on your must visit list while in Fresno. This mansion located in downtown Fresno, is one of its kind and unfortunately it is now a law office and doesn't showcase the lavish feature of its interior anymore to the public: three story twelve luxurious room, 4500 sq feet space. However the exterior of the house really is something to see and take plenty of picture off. Plus if you do visit this building, it wont be the only thing on your list to visit because 1 block away is the St John Cathedral and also the Meux mansion. There is no parking around its since its really close to the community hospital, I would suggest parking on R street near the church and take the opportunity to appreciate and take pictures of this architecture marvel. It looks like something that should be in Hollywood to be honest. most people in Fresno can pass it without even knowing that they have this beautiful building. If you must know the building was constructed for Herman H. and Helena S. Brix in 1910-1911. Herman H. Brix made a pioneering contribution to the development of Coalinga and was influential in the commercial expansion of Fresno. In addition to its historical associations, the Brix Mansion possesses considerable architectural significance. Designed by architect Edward T. Foulkes, it represents a brilliant example of a period-inspired Italian Villa, the only residence in Fresno built in this lavishly-embellished style. However there are tons of houses that raise money throughout the neighborhood for different charities. They sell food like donuts that are AMAZING. You can walk, but there is not a walking trail and no specific walk nights. It's a neighborhood that loops and is not similar to Christmas tree lane. There is also a home to drop off letters to Santa. The lines get really long but it's a treat that is worth it!

Buck Rock Lookout is a Really, Really, cool fire lookout. It was built in 1923 and has the first…read morelive in fire lookout. It's called a "4-A" style cab because it's 14 ft x 14 ft small live in fire lookout surrounded all around by windows. The stairways was built in 1942. It's open to the public from 9:30a-6p. The person in the cab is on duty and you can talk to him/her. From the Sequoia National Forest website: "Buck Rock Lookout sits perched atop a granite dome and offers a breathtaking view of the Great Western Divide and other spectacular high mountain peaks of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Access to the top is via a series of stair flights (consisting of 172 steps) suspended from the side of the rock." Pit toilet is available off on the Left before the stairs and the person on duty has to do those stairs everytime he/she needs to go! The stairs are fun, 172 steps, hold on to the handrails on both sides! It can be closed due to fires, lightening, etc. Worth going if ever in the area. This is a cute little town. They have many little cute gift stores, yummy restaurants, and great…read moreevents. They have an event called The Enchanted Night. The stores and restaurants are open late and almost all of them offers hot cocoa or apple cider. There also have a carriage that travels around the Main Streets. People make long line to go in it. It's full of lights and pretty decorated. They have singer different genre. They entertain along the streets. Some sing just regular music and some Christmas songs. We always find a place to have diner and then walk around and enjoy the music. We visit the different thrift stores. We always find something nice to buy. It has become a tradition for us to attend this event every year. Highly recommended. It is the official start of the Holidays for us. It's almost like a magical night.

There are always so many events going on in OTC which I am loving the community events. I have gone to over 4. The ones I remember are: Antique Fair Food Festival Fairytale nights Farmers Market My dude and I have enjoyed so much festives here we are always seeing when the next events are. Everyone is very friendly and the respectful. The older folks tell my dude how did he scored his beautiful woman (me), which we always find hilarious as it is usually an older white retired couple. Anywho, if you would have told me I would be living in Clovis like 5 years ago, I would bet my life savings you are wrong but I do and surprisingly it's not that bad. There is always something to explore in OTC, from businesses to people. I love the events that they have which at least I feel like there's something going on every two weeks. The dude and I have gone to several restaurants and Roll Me Some is in OTC, BOA, EECU, and so much more. I am never disappointed when I come to OTC and wish Fresno put on more events like Clovis. There is always something to do here. They have the annual Christmas Parades, Big Hat Days, Veteran Parades and spring much more. I highly recommend to come down and check it out.

This building is a must visit or drive through at least once if you are in Fresno. This building is one of a kind and apparently is a National Landmark originally built in 1916, was the first permanent structure of the Fresno State College campus and is now the iconic center of the Fresno City College campus. Its hard to believe if tourist do not tour this amazing building and take the opportunity to walk around it, because it's so beautiful and unique. During weekdays the building is free to roam inside since its open for classes ( this is a functional college classroom), the building interior is just massive and really feels like something you see in the movies when they portray the schools and hallways. During weekends you can expect to at walk around the building and courtyard and take photo of this iconic Fresno landmark because the interior might be closed. There are plenty of parking around the area, and its free, try to avoid parking on campus since you have to pay for it, instead park near the housing are, its free and easy to get, and its only a walk away. There is a gorgeous courtyard that must be seen, its like walking in hogwarts from harry potter, or at least thats how I felt. Really worth a visit, and walks away is the amazing library, with the same exact architecture but will also amaze you with the grand interior. The building I learned was built of solid brick with tapestry face brick. The roof covering is mission clay tile. Among its decorative features are handmade hard-burned bricks, classic ornamentation at the main and secondary entrances, classic brick arches and stone balconies overlooking central courtyards, and lavish Moorish geometric details in brick on the east and west walls of the auditorium and above the arches of the covered walks around the perimeter of the courts. Its a shame if you dont visit this place.

Such a rich treasure trove of information and artifacts and well organized. Anyone who is doing research on any of the wars, making a movie or documentary, or even some local Fresno history needs to come here and do their homework. You simply can't take it all in with one visit. Seriously, this place has the most artifacts I've ever seen in any veteran's or US historical museum and we have this piece of history right here in our own town. Let your friends in Hollywood know, this is the place to come to check your facts and see an amazing collection!

The theater here is on the smaller side, but is perfect for kid plays and other local theater shows. To help fill the space on stage, they have an LED screen that allows any color, theme, or design to be added and enhance the physical props on the stage. The audio kept popping, not if that's because of the kids touching mics, but was a little distracting. I loved the real fire balls they shot up from the stage whenever the wicked witch arrived along with the subtle fog and light elements. The only available parking is street parking and it's metered. So get here earlier to snag a spot close to the venue.
