We got the papas bravas, so in Spain when we get them they are chunks of potatoes with a hot sauce/ketchup blend with loads of aioli. Here it was crispy fried balls of potato bathed in a semi spicy tomato aioli and topped with Parmesan cheese. Not what we were expecting but still delicious. We also ordered the Nachos Mexicanos, so since Nachos aren't reaaay Mexican food I think it's ok to play around with the name. These were just tortilla chips with dipping sauces of Aioli and a guacamole Aioli. Not what I would call Nachos but hey, us Americans ruin other cultures foods too, so who are we to criticize? As others have said, there's a great guy there, I think his name was Fernando, but he lived in NY and if you need help in English he's your guy.

We were one of only a few occupied tables, so it wasn't like the place was incredibly busy. The food itself was generally unimpressive. I judge a place by it's french fries and in Argentina, it's common to find the super rustic cut-right-from-the-potato variety. This tends to be the standard and at Colores Santos, the fries were the frozen kind. I also wouldn't recommend the salad after their namesake. Overall, I wouldn't return here unfortunately.
