One of the most pleasant surprises of my life. Ordered veggie fajitas thinking I would get the typical barely cooked onions and peppers and that's it. They served me sautéed onions, peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, and tomatoes! Also, a generous portion of rice and beans with no cheese or sour cream on request. This may seem like no big deal but I've ordered this in Mexican restaurants all over the country and have NEVER gotten it this well done! Bravo! Los Charros!! This place is actually pretty good, but to be honest, it tastes like any other Mexican restaurant. Nothing really stood out to me and felt quite mediocre. Their menu is HUGE. There's so much that it's almost overwhelming. I ended up ordering the 3 steak tacos and a tamale. My friends ordered the stuffed pepper, tortas, chimichanga, queso, and everything was good! The only thing I didn't care for was the chips & salsa. I felt like the salsa wasn't chunky enough and tasted kind of sour. Other than that, our food was great, and our server was SO NICE. Great food. My Favorite Mexican restaurant. (My next choice is La Posta in Messia NM) We just got back after 5 months in our RV out west and immediately came here to eat! My wife always gets the chicken Mexican skillet and brings half home due to its size. I have eaten nearly everything on the menu over the last four years and haven't found anything I didn't like. I often get the enchiladas and tacos and really like their chile rellanos. Service is always fast and pleasant. There are always lots of customers but I have never had to wait for a table. read more

Food here is great!! Big portions at a great price. Cheap margaritas that taste amazing and definitely stronger than I expected. I got a seafood burrito that I will be dreaming about until I get it again! Tostada was good too and my husband liked whatever he got, I took a San Rafael quesadilla to go. They are not skimpy on their shrimp and they weren't medium shrimp! Thank you Los Charros and staff for a good time and great meal. Driving through Hattiesburg heading south and decided I wanted to have good Mexican food to break up my long drive. Was kind of skeptical of the 4.5 star rating initially just because of past luck, but I wanted to give this place a shot. Man! They did not disappoint! The food was incredible and the service was just as good. Highly recommend this spot if you are in the mood for great Mexican food. Sorry for no pictures. Is my new favorite Mexican go to in Petal! The service is excellent and the Mango Margaritas well let's just say I'm hooked! The fajita quesadilla is my favorite dish second only to the Carne Asada. We love this place. When they first opened not so much. They got it together now. This is our FAVORITE Mexican restaurant. They are fast, efficient, polite and the portions are more than adequate. Last week I noticed authentic tacos on the menu... I tried one....oh my. Next meal will be one of each type of meat. Nothing like any taco I've ever had but amazing. I used to love this place. Food is still delicious. Problem is portions are half the size and the price is doubled in the last four weeks.

Watch out Mariachi Loco because this place has way better food and a better staff. Everyone is friendly and the food came out fast. The prices are very low compared to other restaurants I've been to. I will return. read more

The food quality, quantity, heat, preparation and presentation are consistently the same great experience you want to have from a restaurant. Worst place I have ever been to! Granted I have traveled the world and this by far is the worst. The waitress was incompetent. I asked her a simple question whether the lemonade was fresh or not...sadly she didn't know. I then asked her about the Chile Rellenos and once again she didn't know.
