This time I ordered the Tacos Combinadoes de Maiz. Filling was delicious and tortillas were super fresh. Also ordered the Frijoles a la charra Especiales. The salsas here are sooo good. The habanero one is great but it's crazy hot... you only need a couple drops. The rest aren't too spicy. Server was very quick and friendly. Love this place!

Love the flavor especially for those that don't like cilantro like me. Then the guac! It's just fresh avocado but I love it. And a margarita. Haven't loved the grilled meat, always seems overcooked and tough but could just be how we ordered because of the mixed company. Flavor seems lacking also though. Tried the beset salad this last time and wouldn't recommend. Looked pretty but the beets were lacking flavor and then there was an odd sauce on top. Complemented with dry spinach so that will be a pass next time. Great service and lots of people! Nice bathrooms.

Great little find a unique, odd part of Monterrey. There were so many great placed to choose from…read morebut, after a quick conversation with our customer, he suggested we come here. Now, I've been trying to find the more authentic/traditional Mexican joints to eat at, but my business partners down here always try to take me to the more "Gringo-esk" eateries...and it drives me nuts! Lately however, I've been doing my own homework (Thanks to yelp - although seemingly underutilized En Mexico still...) and requesting the various joints to try. Restaurante Santa Fe was a nice find. Close by to many other options, this was a nice detour from the regular status quo luncheon for a more authentic trip down a traditional lane. And...it's not far from a Tim Hortons... :)...just saying. :).

We snagged a seat next to the window so we could continue to people watch. The service was fast and the food came out just as fast so we were not hungrily waiting. A bucket of beer accompanied our tacos too. It was also not busy when we came so it was not super loud and easy for us to have our own conversations. I really enjoyed my tacos. I started with two al pastors and an asada. Then ordered two more al pastors. Perfect for a light lunch and a couple beers!
