Came back here after ... 6 or 7 years. Were quite thrilled the first time around. After seeing the mixed reviews, I wondered how it would hold up.
And we still liked it very much. Lots of tables outside. It was very busy but still got one. Dogs welcome outside. Ordered our food inside at the bar. Staff was friendly, unlike I've read in some reviews.
Got one tapa - a filled chili (with minced meat), very good one. Spicy too. A bacalau sandwich with melted cheese, fresh and savoury. Then some anchovies....just ok this one.
But then the small plate we look forward to: the snails! A good-sized plate, took a while to prepare (and it's prepared fresh here), but worth the wait. Lots of snails, good sauce, nicely cleaned, tender and tasty. As great as last time.
Prices are fair, the wine is good and the food tasty. Still great. But then there are several great places around here. The choice is yours. Best to do some bar-hopping. read more
