Located in outskirts of Mexicali's Centro, it is one of the recognized upscale local seafood restaurant. As weird as it can be, Mexicali is located in middle of a scorching dry desert area but, is known for their seafood restaurants. Famous for Ceviche, Cocteles and shrimp dishes. As soon as we got the table, the waiter gave us full introduction of today's dish. One thing that caught our ears was fresh Grouper as fish of the day. We asked to show us before is being cooked and it was a full 12 lbs fish. They recommended a whole pan fried style so we did that. We had couple of ceviches and some fresh scallops to start then the main fish arrived. It was mouth watering visual and smell. As soon as we dig in to it, the taste was amazing. Just right seasoning on it to give flavor without killing the mild taste of the fish. The texture of the fish was chewy, juicy perfectly cooked. Our party was 7 in total and couldn't finish the whole fish. It was a lot of meat there. The experience was very enjoyable and we kept talking about how good the fish was. Besides this, I recommend to tase the variety of small dishes for a local desert seafood experience. read more

The service is fantastic, they attended my party of three right away. I was worried about a long waiting time because it seemed like they had a full house (great hint that the food must be amazing), but there was no waiting time at all. The people who attended us exceeded my expectations, better than some service you receive from "high end restaurants" in San Diego. The important part, food. Was absolutely delicious, I wish I would've snapped a few pictures to accompany this review but I was lost in awh with every bite. You can tell the time and effort invested in each plate by the presentation created. I tried there agua chiles, and some ceviche and they were both great. Please do yourself a favor and try there gobernador taco! That's a must. Enjoy! read more

Los Arcos is a sea food gem in Mexicali- probably one of the best in the area. Everything here is outstanding! Our favorite appetizers are any ceviche and aguachile. Our favorite plate is the Pulpo A Las Brasas but we also recommend the Chiles Toritos, Pulpo Mongol, and you can't go wrong with any taco here. The review was should of been added a week ago, my husband and I visited the place for the first time. We normally stay at a hotel near by never realized how close it was. Food was great and the service was excellent. Although, the waiter dropped a whole pitcher of water on my purse I was able to put that aside and rate them on the service and taste of food. Went to Los Arcos for the first time on our latest visit to Mexicali. Right when you walk up you know you will have great service, opening the door and greeting you with a smile is a great start. Then you go to the food part, great selection of seafood and other choices. They have a bar for those that want a drink. Lots of tables and they also have a kids area to keep the little ones busy. Clean restrooms that include mouthwash to rinse your mouth after eating. Must try when visiting Mexicali. read more

I am in love with this place. Great food, great service, and really cute spot. We got two different tacos to try the food before ordering any big meal: Taco bonita and Taco regio at $2.30 each and they were amazing. You also have to try the Clamato with or without liquor, it was amazing!! If you are ever in Mexicali you should definitely try to stop at Los Arcos!!!!The service Is excellent, put this way I was having beer and my glass was never empty, we also had great recommendations from the manager. He recommended Los tacos gobernador, the avocado salad. My wifey had the shrimp ceviche this was out of this world clean and superb flavor. I had the lonja de pescado grilled with shrimp on top, this was so good you must try. The price is a little over the top but well worth it, trust me!!!!! read more

Brought my wife here while vacationing in Mexico. The food was very good and the service was too. For an appetizer, try the scallop tostada, sooo good and fresh. The surf and turf(lobster) was delicious too. They sang happy birthday to my wife & brought her desert which made her day. We had the honor to be taken care of by Oscar Flores, very professional and charismatic young man. Everything he recommended was absolutely amazing.... I had to try a few things on the menu, tostadas de ceviche especial con camaron con pulpo.... Taco bonita, vampiro Bonita, tuna sashimi and my wife had the camarones al mojo de ajo... Not a fan of this place. I've eaten here several times with family (not my choice). This last time I decided next time I'll just stay home. Servers are pushy and hover. Seafood is boring and subpar. Now they have valet parking yet they gave us our car inside the crowded parking lot that was a pain to get out of, yet they want a tip? There are several places for seafood in Mexicali that are far better and much less expensive. read more
