Food is always great, it's my favorite restaurant but the waitress spilled a margarita all over me and my 1 year old. No urgency to help us out. No apologies. Ruined my $175 Birkenstocks shoes...... Seemed like they didn't care about a mistake they made. This experience would have been fine if the showed some type of compassion. This place is consistently good. 3 of us met up yesterday at 4:30 p.m. before a church service. One friend went with one of the Combinations, another friend ordered from the Vegetarian list. Sadly, I'm attempting to watch my carb intake, so I ordered a Guacamole Salad and a Steak Quesadilla. We won't discuss the chips and salsa I couldn't stop eating. (They probably don't have carbs, right? Ok, good, that's what I thought.) We were all 3 very pleased with the food quality. My Vegetarian friend was surprised to find potatoes in her burrito, which she gave 5 stars. She said potatoes are uncommon in other local Mexican restaurants' vegetarian options. This place is also consistently fast! We're always seated and waited upon quickly, by very kind staff. In fact, last night we ordered and got our food so fast, we wondered if the kitchen had some kind of telepathic thing so they knew what we were going to order ahead of time. Also, something I appreciate is that the location is easy to get in and out of and plenty of parking. Not all places have this! Highly recommend in the Anniston area. read more

We placed a Pick up order today and I couldnt understand a word the employee said. It sounded like she had marbles in her mouth, I was forced to ask her to repeat herself numerous times. Imagine the NOT SURPRISED face when upon entering the restaurant my husband is greeted by a girl talking with a Lollipop stuck in her mouth! Unprofessional and GROSS. To add insult to injury my "normal" order of Lunch Chimichangas was inedible. What should have been a Rolled Fried Flour Tortilla with shredded beef was actually a wet, limp rolled Burrito with meat the consistency of dry paste . I guess I should be grate it was 2/3 EMPTY and in no way shape or form Fried...I wont even address that their lunch menu specifically states Fried and 2 includes 2 Chimichangas, again I should be grateful since the whole plate went in the trash. Sadly we've been eating here for years but this will be our very last trip. When I called to complain again I get the same Lollipop sucking person on the other end who was as about interested in my problem as most of us are in auto repair insurance . Excellent food. However during the COVID-19 pandemic, this establishment showed little to no regard to the recommended safety guidelines to reopen an eating establishment. We had to finish our meal and leave early because a large party was sat less than 3 feet from us and another party directly behind us in the adjoining booth. Within one minute of being seated we were served the coldest mug of draught beer ever known! Salsa was quick to follow and was a little mild but tasty. Chips were fresh and abundant. Entrees were served hot and flavorful. Server checked on us almost too often. The second beer was just as cold and delicious with ice crystals forming! What's not to love about this place so far? Calhoun County Alabama is a place filled with many good-great Mexican restaurants. This is not one of those places. Upon entering, you're greeted with somewhat pleasant looking "Mexican" decor. "This is decent," you may think, but don't be deceived by the sights alone for when your food arrives, you'll soon realize you've made a terrible mistake. A bowel shuttering mistake. Summary aside, I ordered a chicken burrito verde, a beef taco, and sweet tea. $9 later and I'm left wondering what, exactly, I spent $9 on. The tea was good, but it's difficult to mess up the act of dumping copious amounts of sugar into a batch of tea. The taco was decent, but nothing that couldn't have been bought from Taco Bell, really. The salsa had a rather canned taste, not canned salsa but canned tomatoes. Yes, canned tomatoes with an overabundance of some type of sodium laden additive. Now, this is where it all falls apart: the burrito. The burrito verde. Please take note of "verde." That word means green. Green=verde; verde=green. Typically, that preparation involves a lime based sauce. This poor burrito, smaller in size than even the smallest of fast food burritos, was graced with some order of pico de gallo and a hefty amount of crushed red pepper flakes. There was no hint of lime whatsoever. It was served with rice and beans. The rice was decent, if a little hard and the beans were largely flavorless. Perhaps the most unfortunate part of it all is that this business currently occupies what once was a Hardee's/Red Burrito. The irony is that Hardee's did Mexican food better than this Mexican restaurant. Please, don't let the 97% likeability mislead you, just leave. Even better, don't let the idea of coming here even cross your mind. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE!! Hands down the worse Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. Service was absolutely horrible and took forever to get anything. The fish tacos smelled so horrible I refused them. The manager came over and proceeded to argue with me about just purchasing the fish the day before. I know what bad fish smells like. No way I'd eat those. They completely screwed up both of my friend's orders. Hard tacos should've been soft, soft tacos should've been hard.
