They have a great space with plenty of seating, both indoors and out. They have TVs throughout the brewery so watching a game there is probably pretty easy. I started with the onion rings and then went with the double smash burger and I have to say it was solid. They also have a great selection of beers which included several guest taps. My only piece of constructive criticism is that when I got my 3 growlers filled at the end of my visit (because they have good beer and I wanted to drink more later), my growlers were neither sealed nor labeled. For those that don't know, breweries usually label the growlers with beer your ordered and seal it so it doesn't leak. I've only ever run into this once before, it was in Amarillo, TX. I didn't make a fuss about it but it didn't come off as the most professional or polished in that respect. I'd really like to see them reexamine this part of their operation and possibly consider branded labels for the growlers (so that you know what you're drinking) and branded caps (their dog logo would fit perfectly and be a good way to rep the brand). Overall, I had a great visit. But I'll inquire before getting my growlers filled again.

Well, if you are a snob with an attitude, this may not be your place! But if you like a cheap bear,…read moretop notch-friendly and family-like atmosphere, and cool, friendly people and old-school stuff, then keep on reading. You turn onto Sloane Ave. from College Blvd., just across from the back entrance/valet of the Shepherd Hotel. It's a small bar and, of course, a dive with lots of graffiti. They are usually open until 7 PM. It's not your late-night college bar, although a bunch of college regulars will also flock to the place. They have a pool table. You also can play your music all day/evening long! Classic Rock is the vibe, though. Two drafts on tap. Nati Light and Narragansett Lager. Draft for a dollar and a pitcher for seven bucks! Yes, I typed that right! Besides, most domestic beers are available for about three bucks each. All are served with a koozie. All you can get is only popcorn with your beer, but you can bring your pizza and have a good time with your friends. Hey, you got it! Jimmy, Beth, and Sydney are awesome behind the bar and make your day better! They will make you feel welcome and greet you by your name every time. One Sydney shared a great story, and I thought that was awesome! Sydney, a Political Science major at Clemson, told her Dad that she got a bartending job, and her Dad was not happy about that, and Then she said to him that she got that job at the "Sloane Street Tap Room," and her Dad was surprisingly silent! She nervously asked, "What, Dad?." Dad slowly answered, "I worked there too when I was at Clemson!." Wow!!! Congratulations, Sydney, you are not only a legacy student at Clemson, but you are also a legacy bartender too! How cool is that? Sloane Street Tap Room is different! Check it out!

If cheap beer and bad jokes are your thing, then this is the place for you. Jimmy Howard is a trip!read more

This was a random, amazing find during an exploration of Madison Ga. The atmosphere here is top…read morenotch. Classic pub feel. Cozy. The staff is amazing. Every person we talked to was fun, funny and just a joy to hang with. Harlow was great (bartender). She concocted this olive spin on a Hugo Spritz. Wife absolutely loved it. For me the bourbon selection was great. Got to try a newly opened Old Carter. Also dabbled in the Shackleton. Figured some exploration with one of the greatest explorers. Both were great. Finally the food. Every thing we ordered was absolutely delicious. Massive truffle fries (called chips but more like logs lol), don't sleep on the Gouda Mac and cheese, farmer fresh sliced squash and my meal, the 12oz steak on a bed of Peruvian mash potato's with shiitake mushrooms rounded out with asparagus. I can not accurately describe how amazing that meal was. You gotta try it for yourself. Andrew, we will be back.

We started with their Bread plate, a nice serving of fresh bread and a good start while waiting for our meal. I ordered a Black & Tan and it was not that, this is a traditional pub pour, with guiness and bass ale, with a distinct break between the two porter on the bottom and the ale is floated across the top. There was no break in my serving and it was not a traditional B&T. After giving the concise menu a look, I opted for the Fish and chips and a side of their Gouda and mac. Fish and Chips, Haddock, whole potato wedges tartar and ketchup with a lemon wedge. The fish was prepared very well, the potatoes like home style and the mac and cheese very good, rich creamy and tasty. The Haddock was a nice large filet, breaded lightly and tender. A good meal. A lot of folks the night of our visit ordered the Fish and it is obvious its one of their signature dishes. A solid choice for a meal in my book. 4 Stars A solid meal in a comfortable location 01286
