I've been to tons of facial waxers in my life, but Ms. Sarphie is insanely good at what she does, her prices are reasonable, and she's been very accommodating of my erratic schedule. She is pleasant, cheerful, professional, fun and has completely rehabilitated my eyebrows after some bad waxing. The wax she uses is different, also, less painful, I don't have to wax as often, and my facial hair is becoming finer and less and less all the time. The staff at the salon staff is friendly, fun, open and welcoming and the owner's a gem. I love the decor and the vibe is very relaxing and stylish. Initially when I went there to be waxed, I was greeted very professionally and cheerfully by the salon staff while I waited for Ms. Sarphie, but the salon staff became very weird and cold after a while, like they just hated me and the esthetician. One of the stylists said some really horrendous things about Ms. Sarphie one time when I was early. Later I got a pedicure from Ms. Sarphie and it was the creepiest experience of my life. I felt like I was an enemy in foreign territory, Afterward the salon staff called and told the owner that I was too loud. Seriously? I've had hundreds of pedicures and acted the same at them all, and I was always welcomed back. It was EXTREMELY clear that these salon girls HATED Ms. Sarphie, although she was always very cheerful and cordial with them. I had been looking for a full service salon, and thought I'd found it, as Ms. Sarphie had recommended their hair cutting, coloring and gel nails, but the vibe was so snotty and weird and uncomfortable that I never made an appointment beyond waxing. I dreaded the place. Ms. Sarphie, however was warm, friendly, professional and incredibly good at her job. She only said good things about Elite's staff and owner and recommended their services highly. Actually Ms. Sarphie completely rehabilitated my eyebrows after some bad waxing. I recommend HER highly. She now works at Hair on Main in Laurel, where the staff has been very welcoming and is now my full service salon. Walk down the street - there are nice people there who want your business.

There were several customers in the store, and that gave me a chance as I explored, to watch the interactions. Despite the hundreds of different products, the person working was able to help one person looking for a specific brand where she couldn't remember the name, but knew that it was made by a certain company and once she was told the label had been updated, was satisfied that what she had been handed, was what she had been seeking. The wig selection here was the surprise. While there were the usual, Big Sky also had a few samples in atypical colors. They can not only fit a wig for you, they will style and color it as well. There's a good selection of nail polish, tools, and the like to ensure someone walks out with a head to toe look. If it's not here, it can be ordered.
