I am very meticulous about paper work, and I filled out the application before I go to them. They found a few mistakes and correct them right there, very efficient and explained to me very well. Second, the price of $20 per visa is very reasonable. Third, I was told it will take about 7 to 10 days and I think it was reasonable too. I was not in hurry anyway. They called me in about 10 days and told me it was ready. Fourth, they open 7 days a week, great! I went there Sunday and to my surprise it was closed. It has a number on the door so I called and left message, I got call back in 5 min and was told he was late and will be there in 30 min. I wondered around and came back in half hour, he was there already, no problem. Overall, I am very happy with them.

One couldn't beat the price of $1.7k with flights, hotels, some meals and entrance to major attractions so keeping my eye on the price, here are a few comments -May Lin told me the 4 hotels were all very well located and close to city centers. When I mapped the hotels on a map and went back to her with this information, she tried to change the story by saying that the concept of city center in China did not exist. This is NOT true - it does exist. Regardless, the hotels are VERY FAR from city centers, especially in Beijing. - there are four touristic places listed on the stops as 1. Silk Factory 2. Green Tea Plantation 3. Pearl Factory 4. Jade Museum These are mandatory shopping stops which are not listed as such in the itinerary. I had read some reviews before and when I asked May Lin about them she reluctantly said they were shopping stops of 45 mins each. In truth, here is how much time our group spent in each 1. Silk Factory 2 hrs 2. Green Tea Plantation 2 hrs 3. Pearl Factory 1 hr 4. Jade Museum (it's not a museum) 1h30 mins If you add 4 hours in travel time, you are spending 1/4 of your days in these stops. During stops 3 and 4, a couple of people in our group expressed their disinterest and wanted to stay sleeping in the bus. Lo and behold, the tour guides MADE them leave the bus and join the group. Going to Suzhou was a waste of our previous time that could have been spent in Beijing where we did not even get a chance to get to the Temple of Heaven. I feel we were taken there just to go to the silk store. The lunches were all in places out of the way and not that pleasant nor hygienic but then again, we paid $1.7k. THe only good ones were the Hutong lunch and the Peking Duck. This brings me to the next point: the itinerary says, " For dinner you'll enjoy a Peking Duck feast with a Kung Fu Show". This is not true either - it is a mandatory Kung Fu show where all the tourists have to make a stop at and after the show, a short drive to have Peking Duck (1 of 2 good meals). Again, we were not taken to the Temple of Heaven and instead to a KungFu show where 50% of the people fell asleep?! Seriously.... I hate being lied to. This trip is not positioned as a shopping tour. My guesses are either that the shops belong to China Tour or China Tour partners with the shops. I am giving it 2 stars because 1. I had fun despite all the sketchy stuff going on and 2. for Charlie the tour guide. Now you know!

I'm pretty satisfied with the reliability of the service and good customer service. First thing first, I needed to make sure that I prepared the documents carefully and completely. For the china visa photo, I took my own photo using my smart phone against a white wall (much better than any retail passport photo service) and used epassportphoto.com to generate correct size photo (note that china visa photo has a weird size requirement which is different from US passport photo), and picked up the printed photo at local Walgreen. I downloaded the latest version of application form and filled in everything in PDF. This company also sent me a checklist. Once I gathered everything that's in the checklist. I printed everything and scanned all my documents to a new PDF, sent it electronically to the company for their review. They may ask you to make some corrections, etc. After that, I mailed everything to them (I used Fedex express saver). Note that I needed to buy the return shipping ahead of time. I also submitted my Fedex tracking on the company's website so that they expect when to receive it. It took about 1 week before they sent the passport back to me. Everything was pretty smooth. I called their customer service several times. I found their customer service is pretty knowledgeable. The only thing they may need to improve is their website. It's a little confusing to browse. I didn't figure out how to check my case status online (even though I'm an IT guy), except that calling their customer service. However, the service is pretty reliable, which matters.
