In May 2015 I made plans to travel to China. It was a last minute planning and after some research I called this office for my travel needs. They arranged everything very well. Got me the best possible deal and made sure everything worked out well for me. When I was in China, they have been kept in touch with me to make sure if everything went well. China Tour and China Travel services are the same and they have a page for each so you might need to check out both pages. One couldn't beat the price of $1.7k with flights, hotels, some meals and entrance to major attractions so keeping my eye on the price, here are a few comments -May Lin told me the 4 hotels were all very well located and close to city centers. When I mapped the hotels on a map and went back to her with this information, she tried to change the story by saying that the concept of city center in China did not exist. This is NOT true - it does exist. Regardless, the hotels are VERY FAR from city centers, especially in Beijing. - there are four touristic places listed on the stops as 1. Silk Factory 2. Green Tea Plantation 3. Pearl Factory 4. Jade Museum These are mandatory shopping stops which are not listed as such in the itinerary. I had read some reviews before and when I asked May Lin about them she reluctantly said they were shopping stops of 45 mins each. In truth, here is how much time our group spent in each 1. Silk Factory 2 hrs 2. Green Tea Plantation 2 hrs 3. Pearl Factory 1 hr 4. Jade Museum (it's not a museum) 1h30 mins If you add 4 hours in travel time, you are spending 1/4 of your days in these stops. During stops 3 and 4, a couple of people in our group expressed their disinterest and wanted to stay sleeping in the bus. Lo and behold, the tour guides MADE them leave the bus and join the group. Going to Suzhou was a waste of our previous time that could have been spent in Beijing where we did not even get a chance to get to the Temple of Heaven. I feel we were taken there just to go to the silk store. The lunches were all in places out of the way and not that pleasant nor hygienic but then again, we paid $1.7k. THe only good ones were the Hutong lunch and the Peking Duck. This brings me to the next point: the itinerary says, " For dinner you'll enjoy a Peking Duck feast with a Kung Fu Show". This is not true either - it is a mandatory Kung Fu show where all the tourists have to make a stop at and after the show, a short drive to have Peking Duck (1 of 2 good meals). Again, we were not taken to the Temple of Heaven and instead to a KungFu show where 50% of the people fell asleep?! Seriously.... I hate being lied to. This trip is not positioned as a shopping tour. My guesses are either that the shops belong to China Tour or China Tour partners with the shops. I am giving it 2 stars because 1. I had fun despite all the sketchy stuff going on and 2. for Charlie the tour guide. Now you know! read more

I just got back from a 11-day 'Best of China' tour and had a great time! China Tour did a great job in making all our arrangements and issues a detailed itinerary days before the trip so you know exactly what to expect. At each stop along the way (Beijing, Xian, Guilin, and Shanghai), there is a tour guide at the airport to pick you up and each day had a full schedule of events to keep you busy. We had a small tour group (a total of 6 people, including my friend and myself) and that make for a pleasant experience. I am not sure if that is the typical size of tour groups, but our group wasn't too big or too small and at the end of the trip, we became friends with everyone on the tour. China Tour made every effort to answer our questions prior to the trip and did an excellent job in planning out the details of our trip. All the shows we saw were amazing and the tour guides were very helpful. They were even attentive to our food recommendations. I would recommend China Tour to my friends. read more

I got back from a 10 day China tour that I booked through this company. Not only was the price right but the service was great as well. We had a new tour guide in each city which I was weary about at first, but the company is very organized so the tour group was not left wondering what was going on and each guide was as good as the first. They were all very full of knowledge and if the group wanted to explore on their own at night the guide would leave directions on how to get to and from the destination. Before booking the trip you are provided with an itinerary so you know EXACTLY what you are signing up for. There are no surprises along the way which was nice, and most everything on the itinerary was enjoyable. There were a few jade or silk shops that were not fascinating but I assume including these stops helps keep the cost down for China Tours which kept the cost down for me. No one in their right mind can complain about that. Overall I had a very good experience with China Tours and I would recommend them without hesitation read more
