Afterwards I scheduled to have a consultation with him. Going to his office, I was amazed at the atmosphere. I enjoyed meeting the office attendant and getting settled to speak with Dr. Akiba Green. One thing I admired is that he listens. He listened to me speak about all the aches, pains, and concerns that have built up. He addressed many options we can use with functional medicine to find out what has been throwing my body out of whack. We had two consultations until my fiancé and I decided to put working with him on hold due to major life events occurring for us (We are getting married this year) and my inability to afford it out of pocket without enduring major financial stress. They have a payment options which is wonderful for others that are able to do so. That being said, I was reluctant to further work with Dr. Green because I personally had to decide on what financially would benefit my family this year. She has a great personality, she even asks what other doctors appointments or tests or procedures the child is having and makes sure to share information with those doctors so that everyone is on the same page. The disease spreads quickly and almost two years had already gone by, so I am very grateful that he knew to test me for certain things -- things that two PC providers and one ENT did not test me for. If he had not tested me, I would have ended up disabled eventually. His nurse is always nice. I have called her many times, especially when I was in more pain than usual. They completed paperwork very, very quickly. What I was diagnosed with is not even in his specialty, really, but he knew to test me for it because it does affect the nerves. I am so grateful for him and his staff! After almost two years of being misdiagnosed, it was a relief to know what I really have, although not a good disease to have. They then told him that they could reschedule him and the quickest date was in August. When I came out of my visit, they rescheduled me for early July. Hopefully they can get the administrative part straightened out as it is ruining their practices reputation.
