The owners, Mark and Alan, are truly incredible people. The instructors are all amazing. Christine and Damon have some pretty powerful techniques and I always enjoy going to their classes. Honestly, there isn't an instructor or class here that I don't love. This place is a family with all sorts of events for holidays or summer solstice (to name few). I love this studio so much that when I come into town to visit, I go to EPY before going home. My absolute favorite thing about EPY is that I can count on this studio for an enthusiastic welcome every time I walk in. Evansville Power Yoga is a truly magical place filled with good people and love. I cannot recommend it enough.

Obviously, an intense workout (especially Damon's class) but all the instructors I experienced also emphasized to work at your own pace and take a restorative pose whenever you might need to. Enter Pure Barre. From the moment I contacted the studio, to taking my first class, to 3 months later, this place is AMAZING. Cindy was very informative when I contacted the studio. Answering all my questions, even questions I did not even know to ask. She met with me prior to my first class to explain what the class entails along with key points to think about during class. She introduced me to the instructor and was readily available to answer any questions after class. Even 3 months later, she is actively reaching out to make sure I am not having any issues, following up on concerns that I voiced prior to my first class and continuing to inquire on how the classes are going. On top of that, the instructors are top notch and very personable. They continually walk around class to make sure you are executing each exercise correctly and physically correcting you if there is room for improvement. This is exactly what I was looking for. I hate going to a class where who knows if I am doing the exercise correctly. This allows me to get more out of each class (results faster!!!) along with decreasing the chance of injuries from doing an exercise incorrectly. I have went to all the different class times with the various instructors, and all of them are fantastic! Thank you Pure Barre for going above and beyond the typical exercise class experience!!

The staff was so accommodating and the price was very reasonable in comparison to other large franchise fitness studios! Their communication leading up to the event was consistent and effective. We had the best time during our private class and even the first timers to Barre enjoyed the experience. The studio is beautiful and conveniently located. If I lived in Evansville, I would definitely visit the studio regularly.

The locker rooms are near the pool and there are some lockers outside of the locker room for access by a family/ if you wanted to share a locker with someone. The app is the easy one-stop-shop for most info (including weather delays/ impacts), although the web has some info and printed schedules are available. The facility is clean and, with COVID precautions, temps are taken at the door and masks are required except when strenuous workout is happening (overall folks working out are choosing not to wear a mask) and social distancing is mostly available. I've personally enjoyed the convenience of the location, that the price allows both me and my s/o to enjoy the gym, always having parking, and times of classes -- at this time some classes require you to sign-up ahead (which I like for accountability and scheduling). I would recommend the Downtown YMCA to friends!
