I was trying to get clarification on pricing as I'm self-pay and - being new - she ended up giving me to her manager. Kim was rude and condescending from the start. Apparently it's unreasonable for them to give a price over the phone. I wasn't asking for something that varies - like a filling - it was for a cleaning and full x-rays. Uh, yes, that price should be set and you should be able to tell me. They kept saying "around $300." And I asked what "around" meant, multiple times, and even added about getting a range, at least. Finally, Kim said "up to $400." Okay, that's a big difference and exactly why I asked, and I said as much. She only continued to be rude, which I called her on by asking why she was speaking to me in such a hostile way. She then tried to blame me and said something to the effect of "Do you hear yourself?" and "It's a mirror" - basically that she's "just giving it back." Firstly, what a childish thing to say. Secondly, that's not how you treat patients. I asked for clarification on something that I should be able to know. The fact I had to repeat it multiple times doesn't make me rude or unreasonable. It makes you bad at customer service. Needless to say, I'm not going to a facility with an office manager like that.
