Everyone is welcome & accepted in our yoga classes, which are multi-level and honor each individual’s wisdom. We embrace diversity in all forms & are committed to learning about & living all 8 limbs of yoga. Our Spanish classes are taught by Charla Lorenzen, PhD in Foreign Language Education with 25 years of experience teaching preK-16. Our classes are immersive, practical, and FUN! We offer 3 class levels and social events to practice with a variety of proficient speakers. While each individual is on their own journey, our supportive community-oriented atmosphere takes individuals even further; we are better together! Lorenzen Studios also offers pop-up fitness classes and domestic & international yoga & fitness retreats in beautiful settings.

History

Established in 2025.

Charla Lorenzen (PhD in Foreign Language Education and E-RYT 500 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with 500+ hours of training and 2,000+ hours of yoga teaching) & YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider) has taught fitness & yoga classes for over 20 years. She worked as a college Professor of Spanish for over 20 years, where she supervised future Spanish teachers in the Spanish Education major and together they volunteered their time to teach Spanish to local children. She has led wellness retreats domestically and internationally and will soon expand into offering a Yoga Teacher Training, with a version in Spanish and a version in English. Lorenzen Studios is a long-awaited dream for Charla; it will be a place to further build her existing network of caring & accepting individuals in the Central Pennsylvania region who learn and grow together through yoga, fitness & language classes and community-building events.

I pour my heart and soul into my classes, whether they be yoga, fitness, or language classes. I am an experienced teacher and teacher trainer with over 20 years of experience preparing future teachers of Spanish and teaching yoga, fitness, and Spanish to all ages. I look forward to offering my own Yoga Teacher Training soon, and to bringing many more yoga classes in Spanish to our area.
