The best thing about this school was the amount of support from the staff there. I've met a lot of great people as well, from all walks of life. I really didn't have to pretend to be someone else that I wasn't , and that's what made my experience here so much better. Even to this day. They genuinely care. They put in extra time and effort to see you succeed. For anyone who may have not cared about grades in high school or made some mistakes, this is the best place to do your upgrading. They atmosphere is very much like a high school with a bit more of a mature feel to it. There are plenty of food courts and cafes around so the food is great. There is also a fantastic little coffee/sandwich place right in the building. They have the best tuna sandwiches ever! It's a really great place. They care about education. The building is nice. The food is good. What more could you ask for?!

I enjoyed Old Scona's academic focus and the knowledge and the support of the wonderful staff. They have been working on renovations and the general appearance of the school has greatly improved in recent years. The number of students at Old Scona means that you know everyone's name, and it also increases the number of opportunities available per student. Come to Old Scona if you want a challenge and you are willing to push yourself academically. You'll meet people who have diverse foci but are united by the desire to achieve. There is no official or unofficial dress code, since it is mostly unnecessary. It's a very safe school: there is no safety patrol. The students trusted each other enough that they leave lockers unlocked. The running joke was that you could leave your laptop, phone, and wallet out, but only your graphing calculator would be 'borrowed'. I really enjoyed my years at Old Scona. It's a wonderful place!

If you have darker skin she will be more ignorant and she will not listen to you when you try to explain something. She is also very rude to the kids and is self-entitled. She is by far the worst teacher at the school and i am not sure why she is still working there. Many kids have even made mini "petitions" to fire her. if you are an older student at the school she will also be even meaner to you. She clearly has bias to some kids, particularly ones with lighter skin and blonde hair. Being extremely strict does not mean good education and mental-health. If you are know her I recomend you report her. Do not listen to her lies.

This is intended as a review of the school's drama department mostly. I attended a performance of…read morethe musical Chicago recently because a friend's daughter was in the production and was very impressed. I thought the choice of a tale of murder, deceit and vice was pretty daring for a Catholic school to take on. The students did a phenomenal job and considering the cast was up to 25 on stage with everyone finding their own space without bumping into each other on the smaller stage. The acting was quite good given the age of the performers. The set design was well done allowing for two levels in a tight area with a live band accompaniment on the upper level. After the performance I couldn't help being impressed with the talent and hard work that the drama department exhibited. I'll be back.

I don't believe this place should be allowed to call itself a "college." I'm sitting in "class"…read moreright now, which is actually just sitting in front of a computer for 5 hours with zero instruction or assistance of any kind. But you better sit your butt in that chair every single day for the entire 5 hours or they'll make you pay for it! I have been to actual educational institutions and never have I been treated so poorly or more like a child in elementary school. I have managed to get honours with distinction here (unfortunately, this was NOT difficult to do) and yet am being threatened to be expelled...for ATTENDANCE? What a joke. What does it matter if I sit and stare at a computer for 5 hours if my grades are exceptional? Am I missing out on instruction? No. Am I missing any lessons? No. Are my grades suffering? No. None of this matters to CDI though. This place is a JOKE. The worst decision I have ever made in my life is to waste my time and money on coming here. I am not the only one who feels this way, either. It seems like everyone I talk to here is filled with regret. I write this review in the hope that it will prevent at least one person from throwing their life away on this "college."
