The scents ranged to combine floral, herbal, earthy, woody, and/or smoky scents that have general appeal. The decor of the shop is amazing as you'll see lush greenery surrounding the storefront and their items are thoughtfully surrounded by plants/beans/materials that reflect what you are smelling. The items are not cheap as they'll run you $80-$200+ and quality reminds me of what you'd find at a store like dipytique. Nevertheless, both of their stores in Polanco and Juarez are outstanding and worth a visit, if only to sample their hand sanitizer and lotions.

We were under the impression that one of us could go in and the other had to wait outside until another customer left the store due to covid restrictions. However that was not the case. I waited outside with understanding but as other people started to approach the sales people at the door they let them in without a blink of an eye. It happened once and though bothered I let it slide but it continued to happen until I asked the employees why they were letting other people in the store when I was asked to wait. Being upset and clearly bothered they eventually let me in. At that point I didn't want to give this store any of my business however I desperately needed a product. It only got worse when I met my sister who was inside. She tells me how rude the employees were being to her, it is then that I notice that a a female employee in her 20's following us all throughout the store from the time I entered to the time we exited the store which made us super uncomfortable. Now I am not one to usually be bothered by these things but the way we were treated was unacceptable and completely disgusting and I am assuming it has to do with us(being African American) If you don't have to go to this location please don't bother.

Also, she cut too much one of the cuticles making one of my fingers bleed. I also got a pedicure. Since I wear heels most of the time, my feet have lots of calluses which she didn't even bother to remove.Also, one of my toe nails tend to get ingrown, she didn't know how to get it out. I got a gelish manicure on my nails and a regular pedicure on my toes. My manicure took place in the lobby area. There was not a large selection of gelish polish, but I picked a Barbie hot pink. The manicure itself was worrisome- I had to ask the manicurist to file off some of the polish because she had painted/glued my nails to my skin. Pretty sloppy. My pedicure took place upstairs in the salon area. A bit more atmosphere than downstairs, which I enjoyed. The spa chair didn't actually turn on to get a chair massage, which was disappointing. More disappointing, however, was that after my pedicure was over I was rushed into my sandals and ushered out. My polish was dinged badly even before I left. Then, within 5 days my gelish nails had faded from Barbie pink to baby pink. It must have been an off brand- certainly not OPI or CND. There are far too many nail salons in the neighborhood to return to Etre Loft! Try another
