We first had to rush our cat…read moreIfrit to their 24 hour service a few months ago and were so kind and understanding when I explained my situation (not only a poor student but a poor disabled student relying on public transport) and let me work out first bus I could get to get Ifrit seen ASAP. Recently had to return to Manor Vets Edgbaston as it appears Ifrit has cystitis again and they're currently processing his urine samples today - a rush to make sure no underlying problems! By phone they are incredibly kind and patient, very understanding, and gave me numbers for the Cats Protection and Friends of the Animals for badly needed help with the cost of vets consultation and neutering fee for which I am incredibly grateful for. Some vets can be quite snobby and look down on lower-income people, but this recently refurbished state of the art veterinary practice is far from snobby. Treats were provided for the furry patients which helped Ifrit relax in the waiting room, and everyone there was definitely a pet person, creating a calming, warm, welcoming atmosphere. They've also given brilliant advice on foods that help his condition and it is little touches like that make me so grateful we chose Manor Vets.

After trying a few others in the area (who shall remain nameless - they weren't bad exactly but they seemed a little too keen to recommend invasive and EXPENSIVE treatment - not good really) we settled on the Orchard Veterinary Centre because they're close and offer their own insurance scheme - which dramatically reduces bills (especially useful when you are the owner of a dog who likes to hurl himself about the garden breaking claws etc) and I have to say they are really, really good. Not only do the vet's seem to genuinely care about the animals they are treating but the ladies on reception are always really helpful and happy to dispense treats and cuddles (to the animals you understand, not the owners). Dave - our greyhound - likes the place so much that some mornings when we walk past he tries to drag us up the lane which is a pretty good indication. They also offer imminently sensible advice and don't immediately prescribe (expensive) drugs. They also sell a small range of pet items - toothpaste, bedding, treats and the odd squeaky toy.

This veterinary surgery in Quinton is one of the charity's 48 UK pet hospitals. The hospital's services are only for pet owners who are eligible for PDSA support (you can check this online). The hospital is staffed by highly qualified vest and nurses and they have facilities for a range of medical and surgical procedures onsite. It is well worth investigating if you are struggling for cash and have a poorly pet.

Ive given this place five stars here, and i wouldnt have considered giving them anything less…read more Having moved to the area only a short while ago i hadnt signed our two dogs up to a vetinary surgeons. When our youngest dog became sick and listless we ummed and arghed about which vets to use and picked this one more or less at random. When we phoned up in a bit of a panic about the dog we were met with calm and reassuring people at the other end oof the phone, who gave us some really useful advice about looking after and monitoring her. When it was necessary to bring her in we were dealt with straight away and the service and treatment was ablsolutely first class. It was necessary for her to stay in for acouple of days and we were able to get updates at regular intervals, infact pretty much whenever we wanted them. The price we were chargfed we felt to be perfectly valid and acceptable, and were glad were signed up with Sandon Vetinary group now for the future. Highly recommended to all pet owners in the area.

The Barnes Hill Animal Hospital provided by the RSPCA next door are very great with dealing with…read moreill, sick or injured pets and they provide a twenty-four hour phone service if you are in any need of consultation for your pet which is extremely useful when owning a pet. The nurses that work within this animal hospital can provide help and are very professional with any type of pet, be whatever species. They know how to handle pets of all backgrounds and are very gentle with caring for your pets too. They also provide prescriptions, vitamins and crucial pet care treatments for pets as well, and although the treatments are quite expensive, they are well worth the money!
