I've had the pleasure of working with Luis Dorado at Visual Cad multiple times over the past eight…read moreyears, and I can confidently say he is an exceptional technical drafting professional. Our first project together was a major kitchen renovation, where Luis created detailed plans and successfully expedited them through the permitting process--something that can be daunting without the right expertise. Since then, he has supported me on a whole-house renovation in Lake Balboa, preparing the lot plan, existing conditions, and comprehensive plans for proposed changes. On another complex project, Luis drafted plans to reframe and remove all interior walls on the first floor of a two-story home. He coordinated with a structural engineer to determine how loads could be shifted to the exterior walls, turning a challenging vision into a safe and achievable reality. Visual Cad has also assisted with 3-D renderings, drafting, and tackling technically demanding projects that truly push the limits of what's possible. Luis has a rare ability to clearly explain both the plans and the overall process from start to finish, which makes working with him incredibly reassuring. I genuinely love working with Luis and highly recommend Visual Cad to designers, homeowners, and anyone navigating complex renovations.

Lilliana and Archeffect were absolutely fantastic. From the pre-construction meetings and…read moreconceptual designs, plans and blueprints, beginning the construction and throughout until the end, Lilliana was on time, professional, and totally on point. We got several different bids on the construction/ remodel work, and Lilli's contractor gave us the best one of them all, so we were happy to use them. I have no experience whatsoever with construction, but my dad is a revered architect and designer who has won tons of awards, and when he came over to see the progress on the project, he was really impressed. Note: We did not use my dad because although he's a genius, it would've likely taken 6 months and cost us 4 times as much for the project to get done, as my dad does everything high end, and this was a garage project. Lilliana pulled permits and made the entire permitting process (which we've heard from friends can be quite hellish) an absolute breeze. The blueprints she drew up and 3D renderings made us feel like we knew the space intimately before construction had even started, and she took detailed measurements of all of our pre-existing furniture that was to go in the structure so we could plan design and electrical work around our needs. We wouldn't hesitate to use Lilliana and Archeffect again, and will be happy to recommend her to anyone. Feel free to message me if you have any more questions about the work Archeffect did for us.

A few hiccups along the way with the final permit but Sam acknowledged the mistake on his end and said he would sign off the edits in the revision phase of construction. I will give an updated review once that time comes. Quality: quality of work was good. Efficient in communication and dealing with a difficult city in a permitting process. Took about 6 months for the permits and the city kicked back for corrections 2x which is pretty standard. Ben didn't just treat us like another project; he truly understood our situation. He worked tirelessly to resubmit plans and handle corrections as fast as possible because he genuinely wanted my mom to be able to get back to work and reopen her shop.
