For the money I expected more. It was a good day out, but I wouldn't say 'you've got to go'. It is expensive, even when accompanied with the two for one offer (Sea Life). This certainly makes it a cheaper experience, but it is still expensive activity.
It is on the upper level of Chadstone shopping centre near the cinema. You have an interactive experience as you walk in and then leads to a ride with a laser gun fight - where you have to save the Dragon's Golden egg.
Once you've gone through this section, you're on your own to explore the build it area, cinema (shows mini movies throughout the day), a wizard ride and a workshop room.
There is also a cafe within Legoland and this is reasonably priced and has a selection of things on offer. From sandwiches, drinks to some slices/muffins.
The only activity that need to be booked is the workshop room, which is based on an activity where you build a small Lego item from a set of instructions. The disappointing aspect is you can't buy the item you build as they don't have them in stock. Of the 10 shown, they only had 3 available at the time we went.
After you've finished the exit leads out to the shop and this has everything to satisfy your Lego builder. Be warned the the prices are not indicative of other shops in the centre and you can buy them cheaper elsewhere.
We had an enjoyable day, but I wouldn't rush back.
Enjoy. read more
