Her room is lovely (you don't feel like you're at a gynecologist's office...) with nice sheets and great lighting. I did the sugaring for the first time ever - and was waxed for the first time in MONTHS. Rachel kept me talking the whole time, and made a usually unpleasant experience much better. I saw a Groupon for a lash lift treatment at this location and decided to give it a whirl. First, the booking experience and communication for the appointment were excellent! An accident on the mopac meant I was going to be late for my scheduled time (unforeseen, I left with PLENTY of wiggle room but we all know how accident traffic in Austin can be). I called to let the shop know and they were very accommodating in pushing my apt out a bit due to the u expected delay - 5 star! The shop itself was small but clean and well appointed. The room where I received my service was cozy and comfortable with blankets and pillows on offer for additional coziness if desired. My esthetician was friendly and talked me through the whole service - including explaining how the process worked and the products being used (they touted the treatment as less harsh and more "natural" than typical services). Admittedly, I am new to the lash game so this review does not have any previous experiences to compare results against or chemical vs natural products to know if one is better or worse. Check-out using the Groupon was quick and easy and so was tipping (my esthetician had a Venmo code up in the room). The only reason I can't give a full 5 stars (I would give 4.5 if I could - come on Groupon) is for two reasons. First, and this is something that happens at all beauty type appointments but it is annoying, products were pushed/recommended at check out. For me, I'd much prefer to only learn about products if I ask. If I don't ask then I'm not looking or interested and I dislike when I feel that I'm trying to be upsold at the end of an otherwise great experience. Second and this might just be my needing to manage my own first time expectations, the end result isn't as dramatic as I was expecting. I guess I expected it to look like I had false eyelashes. My lashes do look like they have a light coat of mascara on but it isn't as dramatic as I was anticipating but that's probably because I was thinking of lash extension results or false lash look and that's not what I got (so again, that's on me). Overall, I did really appreciate the space and service and I did rebook another appointment (and I plan on adding on an eyebrow gloss as well). I do appreciate the shop not using aggressive products to achieve their results and overall it was a good experience. I also think their regular pricing is pretty on par with what I've seen around Austin (but for sure check out Groupon to save a few bucks).
