Most of the reception staff are friendly, helpful and considerate (4 and not 5 * because I have had the occasional rude/abrupt interaction over the phone). Great service! :)

Wow, this is *handy*. When I followed the directions on my iPhone-fuelled Google maps (thanks…read moretechnology) I couldn't find this place for the life of me. It was pointing me towards the car park of my local Sainsburys. Was it mad? No! It was completely sane. My new doctor is accessible via the car park of my local Sainsburys. Whaddya know. Bodey Medical Centre is clean, sleek and looks all shiny and new. So there are the usual waiting times, the hanging around, the boredom, but both my experiences here have made up for any bureaucratic annoyances. Basically, twice I have visited Bodey, twice for unpleasant things which are necessary to female health and well-being, and twice I have been impressed. My first appointment was with a female doc, second with a nurse. Both women were calm, friendly and most comforting, and both the nicest people ever to venture quite so intimately about my person apart from the obvious. My first appointment led to a hospital consultation which was handled quickly and efficiently - she said my appointment letter may take up to two weeks to arrive but it appeared in less than one. Similar story with nursey, who said results might take around three weeks but reached my letterbox in a few days. Bodey, seriously! Trinity Medical what-now? Call me fickle but my affections are totes transferred.

The Docs in Manchester is one of the few GP surgeries in the city centre, located on Bloom Street…read more Due to ongoing issues with my current GP surgery, I planned to relocate hopefully to one of the surgeries in Manchester city centre, with one of them I had under consideration being The Docs. I was upset with the service: I found the staff to be rather rude, unhelpful and uncooperative which made me have second thoughts about joining the practice - which again shows not much has changed in that regard since this place was last reviewed, stunningly that was over nine years ago. The building its-self opened in the mid-1990s from the outside, you truly couldn't tell it was a doctor even though the name states so, it looks more like an old converted pub compared to everything and isn't too modern either. I find the opening hours of the practice restrictive, they do only have 3 doctors and 2 trainees which is rather small, especially for a GP surgery in a central location. They aren't open on weekends, and although this is sadly common for an NHS GP surgery, the fact they only seem to be open until 1:30 on a Thursday is pretty ridiculous. If I had to sum up The Docs, Manchester in three words I'd say lazy, unprofessional and poor from the service to the building, the website to the process of signing up new patients (it made me want to leave before I'd even signed the paperwork to sign up which I didn't do in the end), it's just a pretty ridiculous mess. 1*

The pain of the doctor, literally. Registering was a pain, the lengthy forms about who you are and…read morethe rest but also an alcohol and smoking survey which then they use to judge you on. Unfair. The Docs is a city centre doctor's surgery which I'm glad of at that. But getting an appointment here seems to be a nightmare, mainly because of the receptionist. She is not the helpful of them all considering she works at a doctor's surgery. What did we ever do to you? Me and my flatmate agree we just hate ringing up or going if we're going to get her. But well what to do. Medical staff are otherwise thorough and professional and the surgery itself seems very capable of diagnosing and curing the best of us all. There's a lot of literature and free things and advice lying around and pointing you to. Competent but slightly unfriendly.

I went to the doctors today to pick up a prescription and, when I was waiting in a non-queue (i.e…read more by myself) and not getting any attention from the reception staff I was all like, "whaaat, totally going to Yelp about this when I get home" BUT then I realised that, obviously I'm at a doctors surgery and all my money is on the person the reception staff were discussing being more in need that me. So, I forgive and I move on. I've been going to this practice since starting university three years ago and it's never let me down. Yes, it's got germy seats and screaming children but, hello, it's a doctors surgery, those things are basically built in when these places open. I like the touch screen thing because it prevents you from shouting your name and date of birth at the receptionist for all to hear and, if you so wish, you can sneak in without anyone noticing. The nurses I've seen have always been friendly and accomodating if extra tests or appointments are needs; for example, I have been in to have my blood pressure taken and, upon mentioning a different ache or pain, she booked me an appointment with another nurse for 10 minutes later. Now that's what I call service. Local and, more often than not, friendly. All you need from a GP.

He spoke to me in depth about my anxiety and changed my tablets. that was a month ago and my life has changed incredibly. I dont feel anxious anymore and my family and work colleagues can see a huge difference. Dr. Qureshi gave me the support i needed and told me to see him anytime i needed to. Thankyou so much. TL;DR - Great physiotherapist in Whitefield…read more During the first lockdown I broke my arm, and because of COVID restrictions I wasn't able to access physiotherapy at the time. As a result, I lost a huge amount of mobility in my arm. I managed to get some online physio elsewhere which helped, but ultimately they told me I needed hands on treatment. When physiotherapists were allowed to reopen, I booked in to see Andrew. Andrew quickly got me on the right track with a mixture of exercises to do at home and various treatments like ultrasound in his office. Each week my mobility improved. He also did some adjustments to my joints which, despite being painful, were transformative and resulted in a huge improvement to my mobility. When I first went to see Andrew, I was worried that I'd be permanently limited in my mobility going forwards. I'm now basically back to normal - there's still a tiny bit of progress to be made but Andrew was very honest and told me what I needed to do to resolve that on my own, rather than making me pay for extra physio sessions I don't need. On top of all that, he's a very charming and friendly guy. Highly recommended.
