My dislike for the process only increased after a frustrating experience with another agent who was both incompetent and impatient in attempting to explain the details of his quotes, and seemed only to be interested in making a quick buck. I then found Andy online, and thought, "well, at least it can't get any worse..." Fortunately, not only did it NOT get worse, but it got much, much better! Speaking with Andy was a huge relief, and a breath of fresh air after my previous, negative experience. Andy truly knows his stuff, and goes above and beyond to make sure you have the knowledge you need to make educated decisions. I am the type of person who wants to understand every detail of what I'm paying for, and Andy answered all my questions with clarity and infinite patience. If he didn't know something, he made a note and got back to me later. He will spend as much time as it takes to ensure your satisfaction, no matter how small your policies may be. Andy makes sure you are adequately covered, and recommends additional coverages to consider without putting on the hard sell. If you want something, he will make it happen, but if you tell him you're not interested, he "gets it" and moves on--no pressure, ever. I would highly recommend Andy to anyone.

My husband ans I would like to express…read moreour gratitude to Sally Kwan for the outstanding service we received from her and for her guidance and compassion during a very difficult period. We have been with Todd Markman's Wilmette office for many years which attests to our satisfaction with this company. The staff are efficient and courteous and Sally has been our go to person for information and advice - she has always been a pleasure to talk with. When we discovered that our vehicle has been stolen. We were already under a great deal of stress due to a family medical condition which eventually caused the claims process to last much longer than expected. Sally was our rock from start to finish, she could not have been kinder or more helpful. When she first heard about our situation, she immediately filed the claim for us and contacted the rental car company. During the process she reviewed our policy with us, guided us through the paper work and answered our emails promptly, all the time giving us emotional support, In the final stage, she spoke with the first claims adjuster on our behalf, then conference called with us and the total loss claims adjuster. The whole experience felt like a marathon, and we were very thankful for her proactivity. Sometimes it was hard to realize that we weren't the only ones she was assisting. I think that people in this profession need a rare talent in order to deal with both the practical and emotional needs of those experiencing loss, We were fortunate, working with Sally Kwan was like having a trusted friend on our side. After a leak in my condo building caused extensive damage to my unit and left me without hot water, Pam did nearly nothing to help and showed absolutely no concern for my claim. When I filed a claim, I asked if someone from the agency or an adjuster could come to my unit to evaluate the damage fully. She refused. She gave me the name of an adjuster who did not contact me, even after I followed up with him and Pam every day for three days. Finally, on the third day, she said she gave me the wrong adjuster. She gave me a new adjuster who then also failed to contact me for days. Long story short, the entire process dragged on in this manner. After three weeks of this nonsense, I filed a complaint against Pam with the AllState home office. This seemed to get the ball rolling, but she had the nerve to leave me a nasty voicemail claiming that I had no reason to file the complaint. Then, she sent a renewal notice with a post-it note stating that my premium was going up. Since the corporate office did help me to get my claim resolved, I ended up staying with AllState. However, I've switched agents and hope that this one will be more useful. The bottom line is that I paid Pam for months for insurance coverage that she ultimately did not provide me. In addition to being a horrible, rotten person to work with, she did not live up to her word.

Unprofessional and Disreputable -- Avoid Ryan Kennelly…read more I reached out to Ryan Kennelly to refer a premium client from a prominent Chicago family. Instead of showing basic professional courtesy, he took the contact information and completely blocked my communication channels without a single word of explanation. His behavior was incredibly unprofessional and deeply disrespectful to both me and the client. If an agency principal handles high-value business referrals with this level of unreliability, I would strongly caution anyone against trusting Independent Health Agents with their business or assets.
