He told me only "some doctors" can do septal repairs and that he had never done one, making it seem like I just had to live with this condition. When I asked directly for any kind of plan or hope for resolution, he didn't offer anything meaningful. His only suggestions were a different antibiotic, icing my face, sleeping elevated, and a nasal swab that wouldn't yield results for 3-4 weeks--while I'm actively suffering. There was no pain management plan discussed--not even non-medical options that could help soothe or reduce the facial and nasal pain. The appointment was rushed, lacked compassion, and I felt like he just wanted me out the door. I was treated more like a problem than a patient, and it was clear he had already formed assumptions about me, which colored the entire interaction. This was incredibly disappointing.
