People don't think that they need a Doula sometimes because they have maybe support here or somebody to hold their hand but it makes such a huge difference to have somebody there that knows different interventions and knows how to reassure you. I contacted Molly later in my pregnancy because due to coronavirus, my boyfriend could not come home from his deployment. Molly gladly agreed to help. It was honestly the best decision I made with my pregnancy. She gave me support while I wasn't sure if I started labor, and was with me pretty much all the way through my 33 hour labor Process. She is a wealth of knowledge,and she is non-judgemental. Some people that work in this field are very biased or lean towards one or the other but she was just there to help you make a decision that would be best for you. She has also supported me after birth via text message, has reassured me through the entire process even if she isn't technically "on" for me anymore- she still answers my texts and checks on me! You will not regret having her by your side. On top of this, she took a lot of pictures, wrote down my experience and also educated my son while I was in labor regarding the process. I was originally on the fence about hiring a doula but I am SO SO glad we did. Molly provided emotional support and evidence-based resources throughout my pregnancy. I am especially grateful for her support during the last month of my pregnancy and as I began showing early signs of labor. When we hired Molly to be our doula it was the best decision that we could have made. Molly is loving, empathetic, knowledgeable and was such a wonderful team member to help us prepare for birth, go through labor, and set us up for success in the fourth trimester.  We are first time parents and planned for a unmedicated birthing center birth that turned very unexpectedly into a hospital birth. Molly was incredibly supportive during this experience and made sure that my wishes were heard and helped me process what was happening and what my options were at a very vulnerable time. She and my partner helped to give me the strength and love I needed when all our plans suddenly changed to continue to fight for what I wanted and make it a beautiful, memorable birth experience. It's hard to put into words exactly how special Molly is. She loves her work, her clients, pregnant people & babies so much. When I first met Molly, I knew almost right away that I wanted her to be our doula. She has a very calming, relaxed presence that put me at ease and made me feel safe & comfortable almost instantly (as a side note she had to come to our house a couple times for meetings and our dog,who usually goes crazy when people come over, was calm as good be the whole time. She never once made me feel like she was pushing any sort of agenda one me and she really encouraged and empowered me to ask my doc extra questions to make sure I was fully informed and getting what I wanted. Some of my favorite memories of my labor & delivery are just chatting with Molly in the wee hours of the morning (my babe took 23 hours to come out!). Molly is earnestly passionate about her work.
