The Java chip, though, was a letdown. It was advertised as a blended coffee, but it had zero coffee flavor. I ended up ordering a shot of espresso to add to it, which helped a bit. Without the shot, I'd give it a 3/10--with the shot, maybe a 5/10. After that, we headed upstairs to the brewery. The friends we were with were impressed by the huge selection of beers, ciders, and wines on tap. I ordered the margherita flatbread and oh my god--so freaking good. 10/10, no question. I'd order it again in a heartbeat. Everyone else was happy with their food too, and our server was super friendly and really attentive. Overall, great vibes, great service, and that flatbread was the star of the show!

Then I had the opportunity to hold a chat with Nancy on facebook and we discussed flavors, pricing, and restaurant hours. When I arrived I was greeted with smiling faces, warm friendly conversation, and even light jokes. People must not drive out of their way for pie often, because they joked that I was a pie connoisseur, but I assured them I was just having a random craving... anyway, let me tell you about this chocolate peanut butter pie I drove 45 minutes there and back for. The crust was just the right amount of crunchy and crumbly, and the filling was heavenly. Usually I'm not a huge fan of whipped cream, but they had whipped cream topped with peanut butter crumbles, chocolate chips, and chocolate shavings, and let me tell you, I had eaten almost half the pie and only 8 minutes and 46 seconds of my netflix episode had gone by. They gave the pie to me in a glass pie pan, but Nancy even offered to come to Manhattan to pick it up! She won't need to do that however, because I will be going back and returning it myself so I can buy another pie. This is the real deal here, folks.
