Caring staff, calm environment, best place in town for acupuncture, herbal remedies and consultation.

By far my favorite restaurant in Springfield. They have something for everyone. Best steak in town…read more. Best pizza in town . Best calamari in town. Best Caesar salad in town. Bread and bread sauce, you guessed it. Best tuna in the country . The drinks are top notch and very generous.

My wife and I used to frequent this place years ago. It was a beautiful place with food to match…read more When we moved to the other side of town it kinda became inconvenient to visit. 15 years later we decided to go for our anniversary once again. The restaurant certainly changed, interior design and food quality wise...and not for the better. The new layout is choppy and uninviting. I understand they probably did then design they did to knock down the noise from the bar area but it lost all its character. On top of that we noticed the high walls made kinda of well....unnoticed by our waiter too. Of course as always we had to get the flash fried spinach as an appetizer. It was about the meat thing we had the whole meal. Still the spinach had too much garlic in it. The bread service was nice. The roll was terrific. I like the soft butter served with it but didn't understand the sweet vodka spaghetti type sauce also served with it. I ordered the margharita pizza which came out perfectly cooked but I think there was way too much salt on it. It also could have used more basil. My wife got a pasta and she said it was dull and flavorless. I ordered a glass of Frogs Leap wine. The bottle definitely had been sitting open and oxidizing for awhile. At the end of the meal was two fresh, hot baked chocolate chip cookies that were complimentary, which was nice. I didn't care much for our server. He/she was not that attentive and took awhile to get drinks. For a $100 meal I think I'll keep this place a past memory of greatness and choose to go somewhere else. Hope I helped.
