We had a fantastic family day at Long Level Marina! The pontoon boat was in great condition and made for a relaxing and fun trip on Clarke Lake. The weather couldn't have been better, and the water was warm and perfect for enjoying the day. The employees were friendly, helpful, and made the entire experience easy from start to finish. Even docking the boat was part of the fun! Everything came together for a memorable day with family. I attended a wedding here a few weeks ago during cold, wet and raw fall weather. When she said she was getting married at a marina I really didn't know what to expect. I will say the little patio area overlooking the water was very pretty, with a few different levels, gorgeous flower beds and an oversize fire pit which was greatly appreciated on this rainy day. The event tent, which I'm assuming is up year round, was questionable and would not have been my first choice. Although they (assuming the marina) made an attempt to warm it up with space heaters they continously kept unzipping the back or side vinyl and letting cold air in. The chairs/tables were flimsy for an event and placed too close together. It was decorated tastfully but that was my friends doing and the food was catered by another business. The wedding itself was held outside and thankfully I planned ahead and brought a towel because no one at the marina thought to wipe down the (very) wet plastic folding chairs. Staff was nice, but I don't know who worked for whom or who was just family helping out. The hardscaping is stone or slate, which had some steps and some irregularity. It was slippy when wet and I was nervous walking on it in heels. The inside of the building was quite nice, modern, although a bit choppy in configuration. While I understand because of the space I saw that it would have been small for her wedding, as an event space in general it would be a better option. They also had a bathroom "RV" beside the tent (with slippy, slotted, metal steps to boot) but for fear of falling I went inside. Knowing what she paid I would have expected ALOT more at that price point, especially since parking wasn't the greatest, as it was limited (they did provide a golf cart shuttle) and the lot was gravel. It is however right on the water with a boat ramp, but you're overlooking the Susquehanna which isn't very scenic. Maybe as a marina they do a great job but for an event space I'd say pretty but impractical. read more

We are Newbie boaters but felt confident with their recommendations. Renting the tube with the boat was a plus. We have been kayaking and canoeing for almost 25 years BUT this was so much fun!!! The customer service here is great. Really nice people to work with. I came in for a reservation and was promptly given paperwork as well as a map and the boat had already been fueled and docked ready for us. My family and I boarded the boat and the young lady went over everything on the boat with us. Explaining thoroughly. We paid for 2 hours but they let us go 15 mins before our set time so that was nice. Seems they have renewed their entire fleet as the pontoon we got was only a year old. We went on a Saturday this june and it wasn't crowded at all. Kids had a great time as did the wife and I. Lots of the river/lake to cover.. approximately 10 miles long and about a mile and a half across. Look forward to doing it again soon! read more

I've rented plenty of boats at many different places and this was by far the WORST experience. The business is extremely unprofessional. This was my second time here, the first time wasn't great but I hoped maybe this time would be better, not the case. We had a great day that quickly turned to accusations and unprofessional behavior. We were sent a picture from a manager that we were "caught at the sandbar" the boat was not ours and while we were near the sand bar we anchored in 7ft like they told us we could. We brought floats so we could float toward the sandbar. We ended up only being in that location for an hour and spent most of the day riding around on a tube we rented. When we docked the boat at the end of our rental, we were told we were good to go after a manager looked over our boat. (When we and our belongings were off the boat) Only later we find out we were docked $100 for cleaning. Of course with a large group of ten it wasn't in the same condition we received it, but we would have easily stayed to clean more if we needed too or thought it looked in bad shape (also we were told all was good). For reference we kept towels on the seats, had trash bags, and took our shoes off. We were given no proof for our charge which is shady in and of itself. Also she found things on the boat that weren't ours, another confusing thing. Makes me think they had the wrong boat again. What was a really fun day was quickly ruined. Obviously getting charged was a bummer but it's more or less the unprofessional staff/business. I understand it was a holiday weekend but a lot of things didn't seem to add up. It's a shame because the boat was really nice and it was a great time on the water. I would have loved to write a good review and refer friends. read more

I have never been one to leave a review however after this experience I feel compelled to. Having a history as a rental car branch manager I can tell you that this company's rental policies are not only completely backwards but unregulated. Firstly, the moral of the employees there is unenthusiastic at best, the women who read us our agreement mentioning multiple times that she "didn't want to be there". (Not a good look). Upon our return of our rental at 5pm we were told we were good to go after we removed all of our garbage and belongings. Then the following morning we were charged for an "excess cleaning fee" A rental period is only active from when you pick up a vehicle, to when you return it. Why our rental agreement wasn't closed out as soon as we returned the boat makes no sense to me and is completely irresponsible. You will not find this behavior at any credible rental agency as once you return it, you are no longer responsible. As for the cleaning, much like cars or any other type of rental, if there is a breach of contract there needs to be documentation along with it( for example if you damage a car, there are pictures taken, or if it is dirty the same process is taken). When we asked to see pictures they neglected to provide any such documentation or credible evidence to support their claims which are not true. Unfortunately behavior such as this really tarnishes an otherwise pleasant experience. I would recommend caution for anyone looking to rent from this company. read more

I have been a customer of this marina for about 15-years. The new owners took over about 3-years ago and they have made great improvements. The customer service mentality of the staff improved tremendously and they have made many improvements to the property. The previous owners did an overall good job and their storage fees were less but sometimes you get what you pay for. Ya know, "Steak usually costs more than hamburger." Parking can be a little tight on holiday weekends but they add more spaces each year. They also wisely began carrying Avalon Pontoon Boats, Crownline Runabouts and Yamaha outboards in addition to Mercury outboards. All super high quality brands. The service techs do great work as well and also winterize my boat for me in the fall. So easy! Their parts department is robust and they carry the typical water toys, life jackets snacks and such. They carry ethanol free gas. Whoot-whoot! Oh, and if you don't own a boat, they rent super-nice pontoon boats. They also converted the previous owner's home on property into an absolutely amazing conference center/venue to hold weddings. Like it's amazing and I hope that my daughters will get married there someday! We keep our boat in one of the storage buildings and it is so convenient. Just throw your stuff in your boat in the shade, jump in and they transport you right into the water. When you are done for the day, just call and they have the trailer waiting to pull you out. No more trailering your boat and dealing with public launch ramps! It is eazy-peazy! Oh and if you keep your boat in the storage building, you don't need to put your cover on your boat (which I despise at the end of a hot summer day). They have outside storage and moorings as well. I would never recommend this company! I rented a boat for a bachelorette party and the company canceled on us last minute as we were heading to the marina. The company would NOT refund us our money under any conditions, as we even tried to rebook for that same weekend. I mentioned this was a destination bachelorette and that we would be unable to return there in the future. Customer service was extremely rude and unhelpful nor would they let us speak with the decision maker as "she was busy". 48 hours later, I finally received a call from Jordan who advised that she was unsympathetic to our story due to a negative review we left. This company is completely unprofessional. I highly recommend you rent elsewhere as you are completely at their mercy and will not be able to do anything if they cancel your boat. I just unwillingly donated $250 of my hard earned money to Long Level Marina. Just give yourself the peace of mind and rent elsewhere, not worth the headache! read more

Marina has been extremely disappointing! Had reservations for summer storage, which I confirmed earlier this year. At that time, a male staff member assured me that there was one boat in front of me. At this point, Jason has not honored this commitment, leaving me in a real bind. He has not only refused to honor his commitment at this time, but also appears to have not identified the staff member responsible. More to come as I learn what he plans to do to make things right. The pontoon rental was very reasonably priced, and the whole process could not have been easier. staff helped us unload our stuff when we arrived and park cars where they needed to be. it wasn't what i was expecting at all. i went there with the impression of i would be able to swim. i wasn't. when i did go i was unable to get a boat, which is my fault i didn't realize it was closed but if you do own a boat or fish, this would be the place for you. tubing isn't much fun here also. read more

What a great way to spend a day or afternoon - I wish I would've known about this place sooner! My husband and I took an out of town guest here as a way to show him something unique and fun to do. Boy did he love it. We all did!!! Cruising the river (in the dam area that they refer to as Lake Clarke) was so relaxing. We rented a pontoon boat for $125 for two hours (gas included) which was such a steal. The pontoon boat moved surprisingly fast so you could feel the wind in your hair but also had a slower cruising speed that was nice for sightseeing and Eagle spotting (we saw two). The boat's radio has great speakers that also syncs up with your Bluetooth so you can jam to your playlist. Brian (the gentleman who greeted us) was so friendly and helpful. He gave us a detailed map of the river and took his time going over the boat's operational controls to make us feel comfortable. Everyone there was so nice and if you call before approaching the dock, their crew will come out to help guide you in and tie up the boat. We're definitely coming back and hope to take the boat out even longer next time. You can rent for 2, 4 or 8 hours. There's a good swimming area and you can fish, go tubing or kneeboarding. If pontoon rentals aren't your thing, there's faster boats, fishing boats and sailboats too. There's even boats with fun slides. The pontoon is terrific for a family or group of friends (seats up to 11). My husband and I are already planning to return in two weeks for our anniversary (romantic river picnic, fun in the sun, etc.). I cannot say enough good things about Long Level Marina in Wrightsville. We can't afford our own boat but they make you feel like a captain for the day and you'll make memories to cherish! We have been boating at this marina for 25+ years, since it was under its former ownership of Dick and Mindy Hickman, who were 100% customer focused. Not so much under the Kline family ownership. Prices have risen astronomically and customer service just isn't there. Unfortunately there's no other option for indoor storage, and they know it. Memorial Day weekend we launched our boat for our first outing of the season, with family guests on board. We noticed a couple of hoses that had been left disconnected during the marina's winterization of our engine in the fall. We asked to have someone take a look and were told there were no mechanics on duty. On Memorial Day weekend! No mechanics on duty! (Come to find out there are never any mechanics on duty on weekends ~ when the majority of their customers are boating!) The response we rewas, "Oh, those hoses were disconnected during winterization." Uh, yeah. We know that! But now we're ready to launch and we can't do that without having the hoses properly reattached. Finally they found someone to come out and properly reattach the hoses. But we were told that we could avoid this issue in the future by opting for their Spring Startup Service ($200!!!). In all our years of boating here we have NEVER had such a poor experience. Dick Hickman must be rolling in his grave. read more

I am the father of one of the 11 girls that paid $250 for a boat ride on August 28th 2020. Forty-five minutes before the departure they were called to inform them that the ride was cancelled due to rain. When asked for refund they were told they don't give refunds. They immediately asked to speak to the manager, however the staff assistant said she was busy and would call back. On Sunday the manager did call back. Her name is Mr. Woodworth. She explained that there will be NO money given back and that they would only give a coupon good for another trip. However, due to the fact this was a destination trip for all 11 girls from different parts of the country, this option is not viable. Mr Woodworth was rude, and not willing to accommodate the young women. If this is the way the Customer Service Representative handles people asking for a refund after YOU cancelled their trip, maybe she should word in a more pleasant atmosphere like Portland, Oregon, where her communication skills can be utilized. The Better Business Bureau, and VISA will be notified of the fraudulent charge for services that were not rendered. Long Level Marina is NOT Long Level-HEADED Marina for sure. It seems Ms Woodworth has a problem dealing with people and customers. I only hope he changes for your sake. read more

Absolutely the best for customer service. I decided to dock my boat here this summer after last summer's towing to the lake instead. Gas is just getting too expensive, along with the wear and tear on my transmission. Last summer, I discovered this place due to boat problems. Yes I know, I'm surprised that boats are money pits as well. Even though we weren't members there they fixed my boat and were always helpful. I was there for about 10 years. There was not an issue with anything until the original owner died. Nothing, all was well for the 1st 5 or 6 years. After he passed, things started getting worse. The Good: LLM was able to put my boat in water and take it out, usually without incident. Price on the storage and the in/out service was fine. Not absurdly expensive. This is why they get a 2 star and not a 1 star The Bad: The yelling at my wife was not a good thing, one yard hand in particular, was the main offender, and he has done that on numerous occasions. She really hated dealing with him. He was offset by some of the other guys, who were decent. LLM lost my boat cover on 2 occasions after I paid them to winterize it. 1st time, they found it, 2nd time they didn't, and then had an attitude about it, when it showed on the form that the cover was left inside the boat. For some reason they seemed to think I had the cover. I asked them to replace what they had lost, which was a full pontoon cover with snaps, not the cheap strap type. The manager did replace it with what I wanted and I was then approached by one of the staff, in a roundabout way, asking me to offer to pay for some of it since the cover they lost wasn't new and this one was. So you lose my cover and it costs me $$$? Mid-season - My phone rings and its Long Level stating that my jet ski trailer has been damaged as the result of an accident in the storage yard. Think it was the light or something, not a big deal, and they fixed it. Just a hassle I didn't need. The Ugly Thinking I might toss them some business at the absurd rates they charge to let them make some $$ back on the cover they had to buy, I asked them to change my engine and out drive oil. Now this motor had 4 hours on it, it was brand spanking new, but what the heck, let's get them a couple $$ doing something easy like changing fluids. Bill was outrageous (my fault for not asking for a quote 1st). On top of that, I look and oil appears to be leaking from my motor, not a lot grant you, but some. I took it to the dealer who took a look and said the oil filler cap was left off. Guess who was the last one inside the motor? LLM was and when I mentioned it to the manager, she flat out denied that that her people had done it and maybe it was sabotage. What a stupid thing to say. I would in no way shape or form allow this business to touch anything mechanical on your toys. They make mistakes and charge outrageous prices. If you just want your boat put into the water and don't mind some attitude. Go for it, they seem to be able to do that OK. Anything above that basic service, Buyer beware. read more

They supposedly replaced my boat's shift cable. I complained immediately that it was hard to shift. Owner said that was normal the first couple of times of shifting. The next weekend as I was coming in the shift cable snapped and the boat hit their dock. Boat had a few deep scratches. After spending $600 for the first repair, they gave me an estimate of $1200 to repair it. I had the marina just up the street pick it up. I was told the shift cable was the original one. They replaced it; cost was just under $200 for the part and labor. The boat shifted like it was new. This was 10+ years ago. Things may be better there or it may be worse. They had a certified Merc mechanic, Dale, and he is no longer there. read more

They mayb nice if u launch with them, but my first experience was horrible, boat trailer broke down within a mile, I thought great, pulled in had guy look at it told me 125 to fix bearings maybe axle was damaged but he could fix....called me next day said needed new axle 1000 bill, axle was 600...i looked at every trailer supplier and couldnt find a axle near price they quoted....called em and guy was insulting, said didnt people who checked prices, that I sounded like someone who would b a problem, told me girls that worked in office were talking about me....all because I questioned them when they didnt want me to lock my trailer in their unsecured facility, then made me sign paper saying they rnt responsible if my boat is stollen..i could go on and on how poorly I was treated, the guy refused to fix my trailer, I had to get a flat bed tow truck to remove it, I told him I wld let people know of my experience...he said I dont care we have people waiting in line to get in here. They are crooks who will take advantage of people, i see patients at my job and in one day heard all sorts of stories...they tried to sell guy a trailer for 5000, he went down road to other marina and got one for 800...i caution u doing any business with them read more
