The service at this location is absolutely horrible! I placed an online order. My mom drove to pick up the order. When we pulled up to the drive-thru my mom informed the female employee that she was picking up an online order. F.e.-You have to come in. My Mom- Why do I have to come in? F.e.- Because your order isn't ready. My Mom- Well, I can come back around if that's okay. F.e.- What's the difference of you coming in? My Mom- I'm disabled. F.e. Are you really?! My Mom- Who are you talking to little girl? Where's your manager? F.e. You can pull up, and get your order. My Mom- Where's the manager? F.e.- Just pull up, and get your order. My mom pulls up to the window either her PERMANENTLY DISABLED placard in hand, and the manager is standing at the window. My mom tries to start explaining the situation, and the manager would let her get a word in. She tried to explain that people come through the drive-thru all of the, and claim to be disabled. That's why they have to tell people to come in. As my mom is trying to tell her that's not the issue the issue is that the employee questioned if my mom is actually disabled she just wasn't trying to hear it. She kept asking what kind of sauces we wanted. We're telling her we don't care about the sauces we want the employee and the store owners info. She informed us that the store owner/manager doesn't give out any info. for people to file complaints. "All she is going to do is give the complaints back to me, so that I can deal with it." She never offered an apology. She just kept being dismissive, and closing the window in my mom's face. This experience was so unnecessary and unacceptable. I came here for the first time yesterday and I ordered from the Long John Silver's side. I had two chicken plank and one fish. And it came with rice and fries. It was also supposed to come with hush puppies, but they did not give me any of those. The food was actually good, besides the rice. The rice was terrible, it had a very weird oily flavor to it. Waited until 8 people were in line before they stopped filling drive thru orders and helped people at the counter... the food was not cooked fresh... tasted like it had been sitting out for a while... tables were a bit filthy - and soda fountain area was not kept up. We ate and left. It was disappointing to see how low the standards had become - especially regarding food age & employees clearly working while on drugs... This was on 11/4/25, around 12:15-12:30 in the afternoon. After reading all these reviews it appears that the rude, unfriendly service and poor quality food is a systemic problem going back 10 years plus?!? That's astounding! Do the owners not care? When I finally make it to the menu board (which is past the mic) the employee yelled "wait a minute" after I couldn't understand the muffled words she was saying. Never again. I hadn't been to A&W in years, but my sister convinced me to give it a try after an afternoon of shopping. We went though the drive thru because of the Covid restrictions and ended up having to wait nearly ten minutes for our food to be brought to us. I ordered the hamburger combo and my sister ordered the Papa burger. Our burgers were cold and the buns were stale. They put so much mayo on my sister's burger that the bun was a soggy mess. The fries were hot and fresh, but the portion size was extremely small. It was as if they had served us a children's size fry from McDonalds. We both asked for Coke or Pepsi, but that's not what we were served. The soda was flat and was undoubtedly some generic off brand. I took one sip and knew it'd go straight into the trash as soon as I got home. I have no idea how this place has managed to remain open all these years. It definitely wasn't worth $16! If you're smart you'll skip this place and go someplace else. The are a plethora of choices when it comes to fast food in the area and A&W doesn't even come close to being an acceptable option. I was thinking about buying a A&W but after reading these reviews I can't imagine a manager that would allow there page to carry these reviews, yes I'm reading the restaurant is clean and looks in order but customer service sounds like it needs to be addressed. How does a business make money if the staff is driving them away by giving a customer a attitude. I get it customers can get bent if the order is wrong but reading there order back and double check the hand off to the customer and my sure it all there, first off it's fast food, people are on lunch and some only have 30 minutes, so timing is a factor and to keep the line moving the team but be in sink together a great crew get good reviews, but before that can happen it all starts with the manager and I've managed a lot of restaurants and this problem starts with the managers by allowing disrespectful talking to the customers if yelled at or upset by a customer, BUT IF ORDERS WENT OUT RIGHT AND BAGS AND CONDIMENTS ARE PLACED INTO THE BAG AND PASSED OVER TO CUSTOMER THIS PROBLEM WOULDN'T HAPPEN AND ORDERS WOULD BE RIGHT. I pulled up to the speaker & waited atleast 5 minutes for someone to take my order...nothing! After waiting, someone finally took my order & by his tone of voice and aggressiveness over the speaker I knew that I wouldn't return to this location ever again. He didn't read my order back to me or say you can pull up to the next window or ask "was that all?" he literally just stopped speaking through the speaker. When I pulled up he wasn't friendly at all...he didn't smile he just took my money.
