Yesterday I purchased my 5th handgun and today i purchased an AR 15 From LI gun source. The reason I keep going back is because of their excellent customer service. They are patient and give you a detailed breakdown of any gun in that store. I was also in their first conceal carry class. Today while I was there it was pretty busy but every customer was in a good mood. I even started talking to a few myself. Great ambiance. I then found Long Island Gun Source online and was impressed with their pricing for the ammo I wanted to purchase. So I made the trip out to LI Gun Source and was very happy that I did. They offered me a very fair price for my gun and had the best price for the one I wanted to purchase. Their ammo was less expensive than the other shops as well. You guys are always awesome! You let me handle the firearms before I even bought one from you, and now you have me interested in AK's where I was looking for an AR. But what you actually sold me was the Ruger PC9 I had been looking for for MONTHS! Well, you actually sold it to my hubby because I was in the hospital and you had limited supply, but no matter! There was no 'price gouging' here. Consider how supply and demand affect costs. Prices are higher everywhere right now because everything is so hard to find. However, LIGS is definitely AVERAGE OR BETTER when it comes to COVID pricing. This also goes for ammo. Did I overpay for my rifle? Sure I did. Did I do my research and accept those terms under less-than-ideal circumstances? I did that, too. People need to take responsibility for their own decisions. Always a good experience whether we're purchasing a firearm, doing a FFL transfer or just asking questions. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and on a recent visit they didn't have what I was looking for, but they searched the internet and told me where I could purchase that item. They may have lost a sale that day but they gained a loyal customer thanks to their helpfulness. My husband and I also just completed their concealed carry class which was very informative and much more reasonably priced than many of the others out there. (Thanks Cliff, Chris and Dan!) LIGS has a streamlined inventory of the most popular guns and a very extensive used/consignment section that is out on the floor so you can take your time and get a hands on feel for your options. Also a big plus is the availability of powder and primers, which is getting harder and harder to find in brick and mortar stores. Yeah , horrible service .. the younger guys are nice and helpful but the older guys should not be working at the store . If you ask a question they treat you like a piece of garbage and try to make you feel stupid. I would't recommend shopping here . I had $1800 in my pocket ready to buy but the service was horrible so I went elsewhere. read more

Generally unhelpful and rude business. The younger guys who work here are helpful and friendly, but many of the older employees definitely display the "gun store attitude." I'll be going to other stores in the future where there is less disrespect towards repeat customers. A few other notes: - LIGS has significantly raised prices following COVID. While they claim that some of this comes from increased vendor prices, they have some of the highest transfer fees in the area now - despite the fact that these costs have not risen. - The transfer fees listed on Yelp (posted by the owner 8 months ago) are not accurate. I paid $40 for a lower transfer a few weeks ago. Overall, Long Island may be severely lacking in firearm stores, but you can still do a lot better than here. read more

This location keeps the NYS SAFETY ACT in play if you're a first timer looking to own your very own firearm. Very informational staff. Reliable FFL. Highly recommended. The location is somewhat hidden. The building is located behind a Sunoco. Once you've spotted the BRIGHT ORANGE DOOR on the building you walk into the garage/warehouse and follow the signs that lead you upstairs to the office. WARNING! WARNING!! WARNING!!! This place is completely unethical and disgraceful for price gouging during this pandemic that so many are going through hardships. I purchased as a first time unknowingly a shotgun for $1000 to later find out is only worth $700 and after leaving numerous messages to store got a return call today after 4 days of messages on easter sunday by the disgraceful owner who found it funny to knowingly price gouge because other stores were doing it. Did nothing to resolve my unsatisfied overpriced gouged purchase. This place needs to be ashamed of themselves and with great warning Stay AWAY!! Places like this are very foolish since it will only hinder their business moving forward as more n more people find out. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your in no way sorry because your shop showed no compassion whatsover. The response on the phone was full of nonsense lies one after another and it continues here. These guys are great! I have visited quite a few times and bought many items and guns. They aren't over priced like a bunch of places I've visited. They are willing to spend time talking to and educating you if you have questions. You don't have to worry about feeling stupid and getting curt answers and rolled eyes. The particular shotgun i wanted was out of stock but they took a deposit from me for one that was coming in with zero hassle.
