Interesting concept, best for the aspirational drinkers (Is there many in Leicester?) The decor inside is nice and upmarket - you go downstairs and there is a strange basement room with several booths. I went in when it was quiet, so it would be interesting to see what it would be like if it was a bit busier. Nice outdoor area which is situated in the lane outside - you can look out onto the street (or if it is anything like it is just now, the roadworks!)

I miss the old place, but the more modern Marquis is still a good pubprobably better than the old one to be honest. It serves the whole Everards range and even manages to squeeze in a couple of guests. The exterior deck has been done very nicely too, a good place for a sunny day.
