I bought my first violin from Croft, and have trusted them ever since! They were kind and…read moreknowledgeable when I went in knowing very little as I had only ever borrowed violins from my teacher prior to graduating to a 4/4, and took so much time to help me find the perfect instrument that would work within my limited scholarship budget. I played the violin I bought for many years, and continued to visit Croft regularly. I was given a very old violin later on, and I took it to Croft to be checked out and if it was reasonable to do so, restored. Anton handled it with such care, and restored it so beautifully. I recommend Croft for all your string instrument needs!

I bought a $700 violin from Croft Music, when they were located in the downtown area, in 2002. When…read moreI purchased the violin, I was told that I would be able to trade in my violin for 100% of it's worth, or they would buy my violin back from me at 75% of it's worth. In November of 2011, I went to Croft Music's new location on Portage avenue (inside of Second Encore) and wanted Croft Music to buy back my violin for the 75% that I was promised (which was also written on the bill). I would like to also add that this violin has a Croft stamp on the inside of it, so there is no question on where this instrument originated from and the reason I wanted Croft to buy back my instrument is because I can no longer play the violin due to arthritis in my hands. Well, needless to say that they refused to buy my violin back because they stated they had an over abundance of violins at that time. The customer service rep. stated that I should put my violin on Kijiji and sell it myself. I'm angered, annoyed and frustrated that CROFT MUSIC would not honor their own buy back policy and urge anyone that plans on purchasing a violin from CROFT, that they know what they're in for in the future. GOOD LUCK.....

Quest Musique had a October month long deal- save 10% off everything if you used their Passport…read morecoupon on their website. Passport is a new Apple app where you download coupons and can use them straight from your phone at the checkout. I originally tried to download this at the beginning of October from their website, around the 3rd and 4th. It didn't work. On October 12 I called to reserve a $400 Shure SM7B mic to buy later that day, then asked them about the 10% passbook coupon as I was having trouble downloading it. The guy put me on hold to speak with his manager. Came back on the line and said that the coupon had expired yesterday so there was no point in trying to download it!! My my, what were the chances of that timing! *eye roll* No where on their website or october email flyer did it say this deal was until October 11th. "October specials" means month long specials unless otherwise specified. This is also confirmed by the fact all their other deals last one month each. Every. Single. Deal. .....except this one of course. Again, *eye roll*. It was clear to me that this was shady business practices. They knew how expensive the mic that I wanted to purchase was and didn't want to take a 10% hit on it. So they made up some phony excuse to avoid it. Extremely disappointed in their practices.

Ive been a musician a long time, ive purchased a number of guitars. Recently I was in the market for a new gibson les paul.... It's got a hefty price tag and i was admittedly a little uneasy about paying that much. So i brought it up with the guitar specialist and after about 10 minutes of chatting i felt so god about the investment and im really really happy with my purchase decision. This business sent me home smiling and i grin every time i pick up the instrument
