After a year of trying to get them to repair several things under warranty (that are still broken, but with one year less warranty) in our RV, they fired us as customers because we dared to tell the owner/scheduler that the tech was late to his scheduled appointment. 2 years ago I had them repair my heater in the RV, it worked well that winter. The next year it would not work so I called back, no one answered the phone or returned messages. Finally got someone to answer my call this time and they are now charging for diagnostic services. As a handyman I never did that to my customers. Kevin and Josh showed up and both did a great job working together to knock out a few small projects I needed an extra set of hands with. When I call on an RV repair shop, typically it's because I've exceeded my skill set and what I need most is a trusted advisor that will understand my needs and do quality work that I can't do myself. Kevin was fantastic to work with. He listened to understand what I needed, but also guided me to better solutions. He even talked me out of making a very visible permanent modification to my nice expensive coach in favor of an easier to hide alternative we figured out together. Whenever something was going away from the plan we'd talked about, he stopped to ask questions and ensure I'd be happy with the end result. I would not hesitate to call Lone Star Mobile RV Service for any additional work I might need in the future. They worked fast and the results look great. The only hitch we had was in scheduling. These guys are busy (now I understand why!) and I had to wait a few weeks for them to get to me. Then on my scheduled day, we hit a snafu with timing and had to reschedule for another couple of weeks out. All in all, it took over a month just to get them on-site at my rig. I'm a little behind on getting this review posted but better late than never. I woke up in the middle of the night in January 11 smelling something like electrical getting hot in my camper. I got out of bed and turned off the furnace because the smell was coming from the vent. I contacted Lone Star the next morning and Ashley was able to schedule Cody to come out the same day, January 11, and diagnose the problem as furnace blower motor failure. He ordered the part and had it back up running on January 14. While there he also took care of a couple of other maintenance items and gave me me some tips and pointers on slide lubrication, keeping rodents etc. out of campers. I'm not giving this business any stars, but I had to choose one to post my review. If I could I'd give them negative stars for extremely terrible customer service. We full time in our diesel motor coach. We're in this area of Texas for two months. Right after we arrived here, we performed our routine coach check and found an issue. We called Lone Star Mobile RV and described the issue making sure that they would be able to repair it. We were told that it would be no problem. Our appointment was set for a month out which made us nervous in case parts had to be ordered. A week later, we called back to confirm that we were on their schedule and that they had the ability to repair our issue. Again we were assured that they perform this type of repair commonly. Fast forward to the day before the repair, when have only three weeks before we have to be back on the road, we receive a call telling us sorry for the late notice but they don't do this kind of work. We're in a very tight situation now since the coach has to be repaired before we can travel and we have to leave in three weeks. Thank you Lone Star for the extra stress, the no care attitude and for not knowing what repairs you are capable of performing. I would use strong caution before hiring this company. read more

I had Lone Star Mobile RV Service do a couple of repairs (toilet issue and GFCI breaker) on my Airstream in preparation to sell my unit. Due to COVID, parts were on back order and Ashley in the office went above and beyond to call the manufacturer in an attempt to diagnose the issue before the part was ordered to prevent further delay. Not only did she correctly diagnose the problem, she kept me updated as to the shipping status all throughout the process. THEN when the parts came in Cody came out to my RV. He was not familiar with the particular part or the issue. He called the manufacturer and was talked through the entire repair. (Airstreams are not always the easiest units to repair) However, Cody stuck with the issue until it was completely resolved!! And the price of the repair was absolutely reasonable and fair. I have had a hard time finding people in Austin who want to work much less work like this company did. I HIGHLY recommend this company for any RV repairs you might need. Great Job!! Conscientious and good quality work. Was very thorough and made sure my brakes would work correctly. But, be sure you understand the complete cost before you agree to the work. The charge, at the end, was 46% higher than I understood. I should have asked, "What is the total estimate?" before the work started.
